Wiki says that the Brady Campaign and The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence strongly oppose OC. That's enough for me.

This is pretty much my experience with OC.Virginia has open carry, but I rarely OC. When I have, only a small fraction of the people I've encountered even seemed to notice. Maybe I look like I should be carrying a gun, so they just think, "OK, I guess he's a cop or something."
TheOld Man said:Washington state is theoretically OC but if some LEO's spot it or they get a call from a concerned citizen, people have been known to be charged with "Brandishing."
Open carry is lawful in Washington State. Because it is lawful, the police cannot charge you for anything. Further, the police cannot stop you or demand ID if you're openly carrying, period. There is no such thing as brandishing in the Washington RCWs.
Pa has been an OC state for many years. I've never had a problem with open carry in S.E. Pa.Open Carry might be alright in States where it's been done for awhile and it has become commonplace.
Here in PA in light of the recent happenings, I personally don't think reprecussions steming from Open Carry are needed.
Not likely anymore. Our court judges have made it known that mere open carry isn't sufficient to detain a person. I also know someone who was detained for ~20 mins who took home some serious scratch for an improper seizure by a police agency. For the amount of that settlement, they can cuff me all day.Problem is, an LEO with bad information will still cuff you and disrupt your day until things get sorted out. This was a big problem in VA for years.
