I like attending the shows. If anything else, it lets you see what is out there and see if any of the ammo sellers have good prices.
I like the shows at Reliant. If you think it is only hunting rifles, you haven't seen the entire show. Walk around some more. I sold a few guns at the one last fall and did pretty good on the sales IMO. I know a guy who used to take cash and go real early when there was still a big line out front. He would hit up people bringing guns in for sale. He could find some deals that way.
I used to go to the Pasadena show, but the George R. Brown shows downtown are a bit bigger with more room to move around.
Yes, the "Clips" dealer is overpriced on most stuff.
