Pasadena, TX Gun Show: “Another Monday. Another Gun Show Rant”

I like attending the shows. If anything else, it lets you see what is out there and see if any of the ammo sellers have good prices.

I like the shows at Reliant. If you think it is only hunting rifles, you haven't seen the entire show. Walk around some more. I sold a few guns at the one last fall and did pretty good on the sales IMO. I know a guy who used to take cash and go real early when there was still a big line out front. He would hit up people bringing guns in for sale. He could find some deals that way.

I used to go to the Pasadena show, but the George R. Brown shows downtown are a bit bigger with more room to move around.

Yes, the "Clips" dealer is overpriced on most stuff.

There was a skimpy dressed hot woman at that show and I didn't even noticed? There is got to be something wrong with me. Mabye I turned gunosexual?

I was there Saterday afternoon and bought 4 used GI AR15 mags for 7 dollers each (they work like a charm too) and a M44 for 85 dollars. There isn't really all that many good deals there but it is more healthy to walk around a show then sit around watching tv. The best thing I ever found was an 80% Ruger three screw Flat top for 275.

BTW - I love it when people say there are no bargains any more so they no longer bother attending shows... but they're still kicking themselves for not buying 'X' for 'only Y dollars' way back when they used to go to shows.

Believe me, I still go to ogle the guns. I just don't buy. Maybe I've just gotten cheaper, but it just seems there are hardly any deals at the shows. Around here, it seems you can walk into most gun shops and get a better deal.
