Grad school seems a pretty weak reason for moving out of the US, although I guess people who live in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones.

Lot's of very good grad schools are not in NYC. Philadelphia has a few and Pa. is a shall isue state with no registration anywhere in the commonwealth.

It's time to decide what's important.
