I just got a Canik Mete SFx and tried it today at the range. I have some reloads with Berrys bullets and both HS-6 and Silhouette powder. They seem to shoot pretty good but I was wondering if anyone reloads specifically for a Canik and had any combinations that seem to work for them. I have CFE Pistol, W231, and the above 2 mentioned powders. I’m nearly out of bullets so I need to order more. My S&W 9s seem to prefer 147 grain bullets so consolidating is desirable if possible.

All depends on what your goals are. Blammo ammo for the range, self defense, max power, etc.

For blammo ammo, I use 3.8 grains of W231/HP38 under a 147 grain RMR FMJ at 1.14" overall length. Provides 980-990 fps and provides very consistent velocities. Most data is for a 4" barrel, and the Canik 5" will be a little faster. These guns have fairly stiff recoil springs and like warmer loads.

I’m not so much worried about power but I’d like to wring all the accuracy out of it I can. It won’t be match grade accuracy but I’m not spending $0.35 per projectile either. My other 9s shoot the Acme 125 grain bullet pretty well but I don’t have a load that will run in the Canik. I tried some today and they wouldn’t extract the empty case. I’ve been fighting this load for a while and I need to just add more powder for the next batch. I would like to try the RMR Match Winners and the 145/147 grain Acme cast bullets too.

I have two Canik METE SFX pistols... One for me and one for the wife. The load mentioned above works perfect in both of mine. I have some of the 147 grain RMR flat point match bullets, as well as their 124 grain hollow points, but have not tried those yet. Will likely use the same powder charge with the Match Winners. VERY consistent velocity data. I've posted the chrono data recently, but I ran five random rounds through the chrono... all mixed field brass.

That’s pretty tight. I had two loads that wouldn’t run in it. One was the cast mentioned above. The other was my Lehigh XD 90 grain load. It’s on the low side of the charge range with CFE Pistol. It shoots really well from my other 9s. I have two other loads to try, both with 147 grain bullets.

Any thoughts on Blue Dot? Would it help take advantage of the longer barrel? Some of my load data highlights it for rifle 9mm loads.

I'm loading for a TP9SFX, so should be similar. Not much throat so I'm loading RMR 124gn RN (1.115 oal), JHP (1.055 oal) and TCFP (1.090 oal). Using 4.0-4.1 HP-38 they generate velocities from 1000-1060. The TCFP's don't consistently shoot super tight for me, but the RN and JHP's are great. These same loads shoot great out of a SA 1911 that has no throat limitations. The TCFP's shoot better at longer oal's (1.110), but they are fine for plinking and fit in all my 9's.

Im still perfecting my load for my TP9SFX. It stove pipes sometimes. I pushed my COAL back to 1.20. 4.0 grains of T.G The former loads were 1.35. Those loads run my TP9SF and Tristar C-100 fine.

Do you mean 1.120 and 1.135?

I’m torn between the 2 projectiles: 125 grain Acme or 147 grain RMR. No seating or length issues. I think my longest was 1.140

The standard 147 grain RMR round nose FMJ works flawless at 1.14". I decided to temp fate with the flat nosed 147 RMR but have not shot them yet. Not sure why I wanted to try the flatties... Seemed like the 'cool' bullet everyone was talking about. lol We'll see how they do eventually. :)

If going with lead, I'd rather go with the 135 RN.
They have a slimmer nose profile and you can load it longer then the 125 which IMO has a fatter profile.
I've used the 135 from DG, acme and sns, it's a forgiving profile.

Seems like HS-6 works pretty well. The minimum load shot the best and locked the slide back. The middle loads shot ok. The maximum load shot really well for 3 shots but had one pulled low and left by nearly 6 inches. I’m counting that one as an operator error. None of the loads were that far off in any other group and the rest of that load was about 2 inches apart. So technically the first load shot better but the highest load would have if not for my twitchy fingers.

FYI : You can run them out a little longer 124 gr. RN Berry bullets 1.260 and Berry FN HP 124 Gr. 1.0665-75 pass the plunk test on Mine , I've been using Unique 5.0 gr. and Win autocomp , at the moment that actual charge escapes Me ,as it was a New run and I've yet to put it down range .
