just put up pics here:

Initial impressions is that it is well fit, with no vertical movement of the slide.
bushing fit is tight. and lock-up is good.
i did notice that the hammer is fairly tight in the slide.
the hammer hooks were a little over .020" (didn't have my feeler gauge) and one side was a little longer, but no worse than i've seen in the mil-spec or Citadel.
machining was ok, though all the marks may bother people. the dust cover is slightly off, but you can't really tell with the naked eye (all pics were with a macro lens).
not sure why the ejector was recessed, but it was pinned unlike the SA's
the extractor was flush and tight, as well as the firing pin stop
Trigger is decent, much better out of the box than a friends mil-spec. The mil-spec had more creep and was a heavier.
the sear spring was similar to the Colt sear spring.
the trigger itself had vertical play. i dropped in one of my flat triggers and while it had no play, there was a decent gap at the top of the trigger to the frame.
the front sight is dovetailed, but i'm used to seeing the roll pin at the front of the sight and not at the rear near the dot.
if all the samples are close to the one i have, i would say that it would be a better buy than the mil-spec, though Springfield has great customer service. also like the finish, don't care for parkerized and didn't want a SS finish on this type of 1911.
