Part of me is a little dissapointed

I'm a little disappointed that some of us here seemed intent on ostracizing and ridiculing FCFC because of his different viewpoint, rather than helping him see the light. We aren't going to win people with other viewpoints to our side by trying to make them look like fools.

Having said that, I recognize he didn't really play by the forum rules he agreed to keep. So long, FCFC.

I'm not sure that ostracizing him is exactly what happened in this case. FCFC was rude and condescending to other members, in violation of the code of conduct, and had instances of personal attacks (even though they were shrouded in irony or hyperbole at times). In my opinion, he did have a few valid points, but in the end, his delivery and insistence that he was right nailed the coffin shut for him.

I'll be honest here - in this case I actually messaged Oleg to complain. That's the first time I've ever done that, and only to add a voice to the mods who were clearly already struggling with him.

But now we're drifting off topic a bit. Sorry. Carry on.
