For carry I prefer the thin profile of some semiauto's. For everything else, I have no preference.

Both

Own both, carry both, like both.
Did not see that option, so did not vote.

Been a semi-auto guy for 40+ years.
Been a revolver guy for about 1 1/2 years.
In that time the contents of my safe has reached a perfect 50/50 mix.
My "always" CCW consist of a revo and a semi. One or the other is with me. Which one? Depends.

Kinda like, blondes or brunettes? Same answer...both.
Preferably several of each!!:neener:

Didn't vote because I like 'em both, shoot 'em both and carry either one or the other concealed according to where I'm going, what strikes my fancy on a given day and sometimes whichever is handy at a given time. Also for those that lke to argue caliber, I feel well protected with .45ACP , .357 mag, 9MM and even a .38 snubnose, all with suitable loads.:p

Both will work but I prefer autos for these reasons, easier to shoot (short trigger autos like 1911's and glocks), hold more ammo, easier to conceal.

This is one of those THR questions that I don't want to answer, but inexplicably I feel compelled to add my two cents too! Personally, if I had to choose one handgun for fighting/hunting/plinking etc., I would go with a revolver. Caliber choice and particular model aside, in general, I just think that revolvers are a sturdier more accurate gun. However, this isn't to say that I hate autos. One of the best thing about autos is that there are still improvements to be made and new, innovative autos show up here and there, and I think thats exciting. Additionally, the auto is just fun to shoot, whether your just ripping off rounds as fast as you can go (in a safe direction, of course), practicing speed reloads or whatever, I think that the auto is in many ways just as good as a revo. Autos are also (as a rule) reliable and are certainly capable of more accuracy than I can use. Still, if I HAD to choose only one, I would go with the Revo. Still plenty of fun to shoot, plenty of good caliber choices (actually, more than any auto can offer), and dead reliable.

Both.

I also have not voted because I really like both. I own more revolvers now than I do autos. Although I shoot my autos (1911's) more often. At work I usually carry a revolver, or sometimes an auto. So as stated above you need a both category. :)

What about "both"?

Sometimes my Scandium .357 J-frame hides better, other times its the Kahr PM40, or Kimber Ultra Carry in "cold" weather (which we've not had).

At heart, I do prefer semiautos. I prefer the calibers, the concealability, the form, pretty much everything about them. But I still like wheelguns too- they have their own beauty, and I REALLY like my S&W 642. But I will always be a brass-puker kind of guy.

+1

I prefer revolvers to autos. They're just more interesting and better looking. I like the way they operate and the way they feel. I enjoy their retrospective aspects.

But I own more autos, shoot my autos more, use only autos for HD, and carry only autos for SD.
