Rifle racks -- what kind, if any, are you using?

Dave: My condolences.

Legionnaire's wooden rack resembles mine.
The reasons I've Not stained it are:

A) frankly because I don't want to clean up the wood to Prepare for a stain, and
B) I like the contrast between the rack's bland, untreated light 'color' and wood or wood-impregnated (Czech) polymer etc of my rifles, especially the recent nib S.A. M1A's walnut.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Dave, but know that she's upstairs waiting for you.

My valuable guns are hidden in a basement room full of trash and litter. They are in a safe under the stairs behind a false wall...
Tark, in my first home, I couldn't afford a safe, so I created a void under the basement stairs; the door had shelves, a snap off panel to cover the hinges, and hidden, nail-head latch releases.
I've since toured the house, 35 odd years later, and the current owner has never discovered it.
Good, creative camouflage is a great way to secure things, and potentially create a quick access area.

Dave, really sorry to hear about your Wife. Mine is a Breast Cancer survivor and is also a Liver Transplant recipient. So we have had some scares. I would be lost without Her.

It looks like you have the gun rack question covered. I'm really digging the rifles you have pictured.

Saddened to hear about your wife, Dave.

My guns are in the safe for storage. If I need to move them around temporarily (i.e., to get to the back of the safe or take multiples to an informal range) I use a portable rack that my son-in-law built for me one Christmas. Looks like this one, but proportioned for six guns on a side.

This type of rack is very popular at gun shows.

Dave, I'm also sorry for your loss. Cancer is a horrible visitor to most of us, tragically too common.

$91? Hmm. That looks like something I can take to my outdoor shooting place (and not have to clutter up a folding table and the truck's tailgate).

It all sits behind reinforced concrete and a vault door, so sure they can get in, once they bypass the alarm system, and the concrete and or door.
I'm seriously jealous of your gun room. Holy cow!
