Ruger LCP max 380acp

Plus there are different pockets. I don't wear "cargo" shorts which could fit a AR15.:) I wear "Docker" type shorts so the pockets are different. My LCP II fits like a credit card. My Kahr PM9 will also fit, though a bit tighter,(yes with a sticky holster)

Exactly! I would like to see all the different pocket types and sizes. A short video clip of the draw would also be helpful. I currently have a P3AT and it will fit any pocket. Not sure this will do the same. No baggy britches or oversized pockets in my wardrobe.

I've been carrying the new MAX around my house in an old Uncle Mike's pocket holster, in a front pocket in jeans, the only type of pants I wear anywhere off the job. It is a bit bigger than the P32 I normally carry there, too big for the DeSantis Nemesis holster I use for the Kel-Tec (The Ruger's front sight draws out the holster from the pocket.) In the UM holster, the MAX's profile will never be an issue in jeans, and it may one day be my primary pocket gun.

I also wondered about the front sight?

But are you wearing your skinny jeans or relaxed fit!

Thanks, good info, but a picture is worth a thousand words. :D

I like to pocket carry. The LCP 2 works very well for that. I would like to handle the LCP Max though, just to see the difference.

I got a chance to handle one of these. Yes, it is bigger than the LCP. It does fit in the same holster but the grip is a bit thicker. It'll fit and carry in jeans pockets but it prints more. Enough that I won't be getting one to replace my LCP.

I wear size 36 Wrangler relaxed fit and Levi 505 straight cut. Neither are snug, plenty of moving room. For size reference, I can wear a 34 but I'm not getting an IWB in there with me, and "everything" prints. So 36 it is.

I like the concept, 10+ round pocket 380s coming in smaller than the 10 + round pocket 9mms should certainly be a possibility.

I had an lcp and I didn't like the take down process or the recoil spring assembly . Did not seem to be terribly robust to me.

I'd like to see the glock pocket 380 take on this concept, with strong captured recoil spring and simple take down. "duty" pistol features in a pocket pistol are attractive to me, but at 6 rounds I've so far given the platform a pass.

i use a round in the magazine to remove the take-down pin on my lcp II. just hook the case rim under the pin and pry out. one of the lcp max videos shows the same thing, so not necessary to carry tools for breakdown.

I don't know what you can truly glean from a two-dimensional picture, but here goes:

These are Levi 505, 34W, regular fit.

Incidentally, I could probably draw the outline of the gun in chalk on the outside of the pocket and no one would notice, the way people meander about like brainless zombies, slaves to either their phones, or simply their desire to avoid acknowledging the existence of other human beings with whom they might have to interact.

That second picture helps show the size relationship to a pretty standard size pocket opening. Thanks!

Any trouble getting the gun out while in your grip?

So far Bass Pro / Cabalas have them for 379.00
LGS got a few in ..$399 sold 3 to employees and the rest others to the public in a few hours..

Local Big Box Outdoor Shop has them for $399, and I have a gift card I need to spend.

Has anyone benched one of these and see what groups you can get out to 20/25 yards. Seriously. I’m getting reviews on the webs that are good and bad when it comes to the Max 380.

Gives pause for thought and makes me question my views on the 380 acp.

I carry Underwood 380acp 90gr XTP and
Precision One offering with the XTP bullet ..
I have heard Sig makes a good 380 ACP also

I have only had limited range time with my
LCP MAX , Im still waiting on my two 12rd mags
But so far , Im impressed

No, not really. When in the pocket, the gun is closer to the inner edge of the pocket; I only hooked the grip closer to the outer edge to hold it for the picture. Being closer to the inner edge clears that portion of the grip from the pocket edge. Still, it's a pocket-draw, slower than one off the belt.
