Came across a Sarsilmaz (Sar?) "Defense." *It is marked, on the right side of the slide, "Defense." But I can't find anything, anywhere on the internet about them.
Does anyone know the model or owned/shot one?

I think Sarsilmaz Defense Industries is their company name. I’m not familiar with any particular model of theirs that is called “Defense”. They make pretty good clones of the Tanfoglio copies of CZ pistols, if that is what you are looking at.

pictures?

Sarsilmaz is one of the myriad Turkish gun makers, but a name that has been around for more than many others. As I recall, they make a few decent s/a shotguns. I am unfamiliar with their hand gun products, but in general, Sarsilmaz seem to be at the better end of the spectrum.

It's basically their take on a polymer CZ-75. I can't recall hearing anything bad about them, but you have to keep in mind that these were being sold under the EAA brand for right around $250 brand new not that long ago (2018). Not many people are going to buy a gun in that price range and then complain unless it's got some serious problems.

I think they changed the name of this pistol. It used to be called the B6P. The P stood for polymer to distinguish it from the steel-framed version, which used to be called the B6.

I purchased a SAR B6P for a total of $241.43 from Sportsman Guide in 2015.

Here is my review of it:

Mine sits in my car all of the time. Six summers of sitting in a hot car on a hot parking lot and six (going on seven) winters sitting in the cold and I've never had a spot of rust anywhere on it. When I take it to the the range, it runs like a champ. I've never had a malfunction with it.

The only difference I can see between it and my B6 is the writing on the side of the gun. I have been very pleasantly surprised by my B6. I have shot a variety of ammo from pooty lead handloads to factory ammo thru it and it hasn't hiccuped once. It is definately more accurate with the heavier loads. The addition of a spring kit made it even better and I consider it a keeper.
