Help, I need a new scope.
I have a CZ rimfire in .22lr that I use for rabbits, at the moment I have a Nikon ProStaff 4 x 32 rimfire scope.
Great scope, but not enough magnification for my tired old eyes, I am looking at another Nikon scope, I want a 3-9x40 and would also like to jump up the range a little.
I also want a reticule that offers hold over marks, like a milldot.
I am looking at a Nikon Omega 3-9x40 BDC muzzle loader model.
Is there any reason this would not work for me, most of my shots are in the 50 to 100 yard range, a few are a little closer.
The scope has a 100 yard fixed parallax, but I have also heard it is possible to tweak this, if needed.
This is right at the top end of what I can afford, cost will be $250.00 shipped to the UK.
A few places have it a little cheaper, but the shipping kills them, also an E-Bay buy is a plus for me, as it will probably avoid import duty.
Please advise me, the scope could also end up on a .17HMR late this year.
Neil.
