Though I can shoot the best with my Beretta 92, for such a situation I'd take my HK Mark 23. The extreme accuracy, the range capability, reliability and corrosion resistance. Plus I got a ton of .45 ACP.

It's definately more than a full sized pistol, no concealability, but that's a lot of pistol in your palm.

Where are the Kimber fans now? That's right, the OP didn't allow time for the notorious 700,000 round break-down period.

Kimber T.L.E. II. My kimber has never failed me so I might as well stick with a manufacture I have experience with and trust :neener:

S&W 13 3", just give me a Tyler T grip adapter to go with the factory magnas.

I have this exact setup except mine is the stainless model 65, and for strictly a personal protection weapon this would probably be my choice. But for a true SHTF situation that could possibly include terrorists like the recent incident in India, I would probably choose my Glock 17.

It's a wheel gun situation...

Make mine a S&W Model 13/65 with a 4" barrel. Handy size, easy to shoot accurately, dead on reliable, and can handle anything from powder-puff .38s up to full-on .357s, whatever ya have on hand at the time.

While you guys are going to the armory I'll be heading to the grocery to loot some toilet paper. No way I wanna wipe with leaves until civilization sets back in.

Haven't seen very many CZs in here, so I was tempted to say that... But then I realized no one has mentioned the Serbu Super Shorty... So my vote goes to the smooth bore, three shot, 12 guage pistol.

I would have to go with "smooth bore pistol"
Sure it's nfa, but in that situation.... well, it's survival.

Plenty of double, SxS an O/U. I would prefer O/U. Because with a 12" barrel that would still be classy.

Realistically. CZ 75, why, I have one, with 4 mags, and a 3 mag carrier. Am used to it, can shoot great with it, and reload fast enough.

Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 Mag. Guaranteed Stopping Power!!!
