Hi folks. I'm been looking at single-stack 9mm's for concealed carry. I would probably carry in a "split-decision" tuckable iwb or similar rig. Right now I'm looking at two good deals I've found; one is a Sig p225, the other is a Kahr K9. Both are lightly used, although they have a little carry wear.
I tend to favor the Sig as the most reliable, but this Kahr has supposedly passed its break-in period and then some without problems. The Kahr has polygonal rifling, but then I can't recall anyone wearing out a SIG. The Kahr is supposedly better at handling +p+ loads. I tend to favor standard pressure 147gr loads if they will shoot to POA, so that may not be an issue.
I was considering a p232, but .380 is on the light side of my comfort zone, though the corbon 90gr load penetrates like 9mm ball I am told. In any event, I'm looking at the p225 and Kahr k9 as the leaders.
Do any of you have any comments or suggestions on a small flat 9mm? I'll consider other calibers, but I'm leaning towards 9mm since the larger calibers may prevent me from placing my shots where I want them when I'm using a small handgun.
Thanks,
David
Edited to add: Budget = $450.
