I've noticed over the years that a lot of people will spend $1200 or so on an AR that mostly just sits at home, when they could have had a Rohrbaugh that they'll use every single day. To each their own.
Yeah, well, I don't have an AR or a reason to own one either. My most expensive rifle is a Remington M7 (love that thing, a real critter gitter), but I got it for 5 bucks. I won it as a door prize at a local gun show. Actually, I won a .25-06 BDL, but swapped it at the gun shop for a stainless .308 M7 which I had the hots for. So, even us po boys score now and then. ROFL!
The Rohrbaugh is real nice, very small, an all day, every day kinda gun. It ain't much of a deer hunting gun, though, so that's why the M7.
I only carry the M7 hunting where I carry my P11 every day, but there is no substitute for a rifle in the field. Well, yeah, I guess there is, my .30-30 TC Contender.
But, that's another story. I have killed game with the rifle. Only ever shot a dog that was attacking me with the P11. If I'd had a ball bat near by, I wouldn't have had to do that, but I preferred to keep all my body parts at the time and it's all I had. I'd have probably had to beat that dog to death, anyway. He had a real bad attitude.
