So what Is The Gun You Always Come Back To?

Throw me in the 1911 pot...my Les Baer PII always works and just fits in my hand (and, oh yeah, it is accurate as all get out).

Don't share this with my other guns, I don't want them to get jealous :D

Glock 21, I'm on my third and last, won't let this one get away again.

Ultimate reliability... Wife keeps a Colt Cobra in the nightstand or her purse.

Me, I love the small revolvers too. But what's my go-to carry peice? Colt Officers ACP so put me in the 1911 group too.

So what Is The Gun You Always Come Back To?

Depends on what I need a handgun for at the time ...

When it comes to large defensive pistols, it's the 1911. Preferably Colt (I presently own 4 Colts), although my SW1911SC 5" has revealed itself to be an amazingly accurate and very reliable pistol, so far.

When it comes to smaller defensive pistols which can be more easily carried and concealed, it's the 3913. I have smaller pistols, including smaller pistols with more magazine capacity ... but every time I take the 3913 to the range and run it through a qualification course, or simply go through several boxes of ammunition for practice, I remember why it became my primary off-duty weapon for so long.

When it comes to backwoods protection, it's a revolver.

For handguns, its my CZ75B.
The stout construction combined with the smooth shooting 9mm round always make this a favorite. Its just a joy to shoot.

As far as long guns, I don't think any weapon has as many rounds through it as my Ruger 10/22. The times that it hasn't come to the range with me can be counted on one hand. Throw a few golf balls on the ground and blast away...I feel like a cat with a ball of yarn.

At the end of the day the gun I come back to is my little .22 single action rough rider(Steel version). I know it's not a fancy, refined revolver but it just plain works and it's been worked. The finish is coming off in a few spots but it'll put the bullet where I point the gun. If I'm going out to shoot it always comes along and always takes up most of my shooting time.

Greeting's All-

Well, Chris My Friend for me I think you (and a lot of other folks)
already know the answer~?:uhoh: You and I must think alike, for time
after time I find myself returning to the .45 caliber SIG P220A.:) Yes,
like most of us here, I do like a good quality 1911; and I have recently
returned to using one as my primary CCW. But, my West German
P220A lies next to my heart. In a true "life or death situation" I
will take my chances with this wonderful firearm each and every time.;)

Glock 30...Had one before - sold it - bought another. Thought I'd get another Glock 19 but bought a Glock 26 instead..Don't want a Glock 19 anymore...I will always keep my S&W snubbies...

Still the ol' Colt's Combat Commander (Series 70).

For revolvers, whenever I get the hankering ... a 1953 vintage pencil-barrel Model 10 ... still the most accurate revolver I've ever shot, funny blade sight and all ...

Glock 37

Yea. I know.

Oddball round.

I've put it up for sale before.

Twice.

But then I take it to the range........

It's still the closest fit yet to a "Glock" 1911.

Back from the range, I clean her up, put her away, take down the "for sale" sign and wonder why I ever wanted to sell it.

Just like falling in love again.

:)

My Kimber Gold Match .45, straight out of the box. I shoot it with a Marvel .22 conversion unit more than as a .45, but only because it's cheap that way. I just love everything about that thing. (Well, aside from the front serations on the slide, but oh well...)

Sig P226/9mm

I've bought many guns since my first 226 and have not found one that I enjoy shooing as much.

All my guns have been reliable and I've bought a few with the intent of using them as my carry gun (HK USPc 9mm, P228, & USP 40) But they have never made it into a holster more then once or twice.

I can't tear myself away from my 226. Heck I even bought it a twin, one to shoot and one to carry!

My keepers are a 3" S&W 13 and a Systema 1911, but the one I find in my hands alot lately is my 1st Series Colt Woodsman. The one in my carry most often is my 9/642..

I have my regular shooters, but CCW has been my main issue. I am a 5'6" basically circus midget, ( small hands, feet, and yes, other ) and trying to conceil a 1911 is daggone near impossible. I've tried the Glock 26, 36, Firestars, ect... But I keep coming back to a round butt J Frame Smith. Think I'm gonna stay there this time. Too much money has been wasted.

1911s and AR-pattern rifles.

I can't understand the folks who think a firearm doesn't need a clean/crisp triger pull, great sights, and comfy ergonomics. There's no sense working with a weapon that makes marksmanship any harder than it already is.

I rarely carry it for CCW,

But when I just want to feel good while shooting. Its a S&W 19. Its my comfort gun.

Rifle: Believe it or not, my old, plain SKS...

Pistol: HK USP .45 Variant #1. I never feel uncomfortable with this gun. It sights nice and shoots straight.

Shotgun: My Winchester 1200 Defender.
