So... What's In Your Wallet ?

I'm pretty content, but I might pick up a tactical pump gun to semi-retire my old Ithaca 37. I love the Ithaca, but a sub $500 plastic fantastic will probably tolerate the frequent trips down to the cabin better. I know I'll certainly tolerate banging it around more.

I've also thought about dabbling with a .300blk upper.

A Beretta M9A3 looks like a fun shooter to go with my 92fs.

Although I have been a dedicated lover of auto loaders, I have decided to get a good quality revolver; probably a S&W. Got a gun show coming up, so I'll grab my wallet and sass what's out there.

Looking to get an AR-15, considering the current (friendly) pricing levels.

HB and 460Kodiak, you don't really want a S&W Model 19. :p

I recently bought a really nice Model 15 like the one I carried back in my Air Force SP days...

I was considering the same thing; I already have a 2" Model 12-3 for my pilot fantasies, I might as well have a Model 15 for the heritage. But a Model 19 would fill a gap in my collection better.

I'd really like to find a mint Ruger Old Army fixed sight model in stainless, but it would have to be at a real good price. I wonder if and hoping that Ruger will bring that one back soon. Also I would like to get Ruger's new AR someday.

Glad I came across this discussion. To be honest, I hadn't thought much about it, but given that this year's Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend is an all time record high, at just over two grand, I've actually got something to work with. Trouble is, I don't have any "must haves" on my radar at the moment. However, my long-time, you might say perennial, wish list includes (In no particular order)

Winchester 92 in 32-20 (original, not a copy)
Winchester 1895 or Model 12 Trench Gun
Remington Rand or Ithaca 1911A1

Although, I don't think two grand will get me any of those in shootable condition, and I don't want guns that can't be fired.

Edit: I must have spaced out and forgot I was in the "handgun forum." So, sticking with handguns only, I would replace the two long guns above with:

Colt Detective Special
S&W Victory Model Revolver or Colt Commando Revolver

In the last few months I've picked up a S&W 28-2, a S&W 15-6, and a S&W M&P AR. And a Colt Government Model, the Series 70 reissue.

I'm always on the look out for an older Ithaca 37, but at the moment I'm saving up for grips. I want a set of ivories for the Colt, and some stag or sheep horns for the Smiths.

Just ordered on Monday a new Ruger Blackhawk Bisley Convertible in 45 Colt / 45 ACP. Should be to the Left Coast by Monday. It's a Distributor Exclusive, so I've been looking for a while. Only ones I've seen are on Gunbroker for 300 over. Starting my Single Action Collection.

I was looking at picking up some AR pieces, starting with an Anderson lower since I've never actually owned an AR pattern rifle. But then a Stoeger Luger in 22LR crossed my path........

The rest, as they say, is history. :banghead:

I feel pretty well set for self defence, got a couple target guns, and I don't really hunt. So, I've got my eye on a "fun gun" for my next purchase. Probably a Ruger Blackhawk or Vaquero in .45LC.
