considering the smallest, lightest platform in .45acp handguns, what is the "softest" shooting .45acp round? fmj or hollow point doesnt matter....

ive shot wwb, rem grn box, fed chmp red box, and they all felt the same but i shot some Tul Ammo (cant find that tula everybody talks about anywhere), the tul ammo is 230gr. fmj and i swear it was like shooting a 9mm from a .45.....i dont know the specs and i wouldnt trust it for defensive uses if i had a choice.....but that stuff seemed pretty weak.

anyone else care to chime in?

The aluminum-cased Blazer I've been shooting is pretty mild, and you don't have to chase cases....

The softest will be 200 gr SWC or 185 gr SWC target loads. This is what most handloaders load for competition use. You will have to find them on the net because very few stores will carry target ammo in .45 ACP.

Like post #3 - Classic old school SWC target/practice loads.

Easy in all ways: on the gun bits, cost, re-loading, recoil, cleaning (with well cast proj) and they just plain look cool tip-up in a box.

I've noticed significantly less recoil with Hornady Tap non +p compared to Golden Sabers and Federal Hydros.

However, the Tap doesn't use a sealant, which lead me back to the Sabers.

I loaded up some 160gr lead bullets for my CZ. Felt more like a 9mm, quick snap instead of a big roll from the 230's. Unfortunately they aren't terribly reliable otherwise I'd use them in our matches.
