I just got off the phone with SIG Cust. Serv. I alerted them that my P938 from "Half Cocked" position will drop the hammer if the trigger is squeezed with the safety engaged. The rep. said he had heard that before and could not explain why that was the case, but that was common to that model. I asked if the strike could cause discharge and said he did not know but recommended the gun only be carried "Cocked and Locked" or With No Round Chambered. This weekend I'm going to see if I can get my gun to discharge from half cocked and would be curious to hear if anyone else could. If so, then Sig should correct the matter due to it being a severe safety issue. If nothing happens, what an odd benign design quirk.
