I missed several opportunities to buy a Mosin several years ago for $50 each. I've always wanted one, and I finally broke down and had my LGD order me one. Took me the better part of a day to get all the cosmoline out of it.
The 1943 Izhevsk M91/30 is probably the most plentiful and common one around. This one is nothing special, but the bore is decent, and the price is right. These things have a lot of history, and that fascinates me. This one probably saw some action in WWII. They are great shooters too. I'm off to the range today with some Russian surplus ammo to have some fun with it.
