I went to an auction in February, and it included furniture, farm equipment, and two German Lugers. I previewed the Lugers, and one was WWI ear, but had been nickel plated, and pretty well worn out. The other was original finish, in nice condition, but mis-matched numbers. I considered them to be worth, respectively, $500 and $900, tops. The nickel one went for $750 + 17% buyer's premium and sales tax. The other one went for $1250 + the 17%. I brought home a chair.

Saturday at the local flea market, a guy had a nice Winchester 1892....asking $6,000. This is rural S.C., where people take $500 to the flea market. He took it home with him, I'm sure. That was the CASH PRICE.
