Yep. The culture of the community is upheld by the members and they help ensure that the quality of the site is maintained. When individuals forget we're different than most other internet discussion forums other members help by hitting that "report post" symbol,
report.gif
, and alert the staff to a potential problem.

Even I've lost my cool and had my behaviour corrected, as it should be. THR is a different place. We're supposed to be the most respectable gun rights and hobbyist forum there is. And I think that gets accomplished.

I dont look at any other forums, that's sacrilege. How do you 2 timers live with yourselves?:)

This forum provides answers to questions that may be hard to find. The answers are from people with actual experience instead of someone passing on something he read on the net. We also have quite a few technical types who can break down any issue to it's root cause and offer an explanation second to none. The reloading section is as good as it gets for beginners or those trying to get the last nth out of his or her firearm. As you can see, it's a great place, second to none.

Welcome! And thanks to all for the kind words.

To echo HSO and Robert, the member are the forum.

With only about 2 dozen mods, who live real lives and have real jobs, and close to 2000 posts a day to monitor, it is the members who are committed to our RKBA mission who are on the front lines of keeping order. ( see my first sig line :))
THR has been my refuge for 7 years. I have met many members and made enduring friendships with men I respect and admire.
Yes THR is more than a forum, it is a way of life.

One of the things I found refreshing at first was that you could actually refer someone to another resource. On some forums, if you forward someone somewhere else, you'll get banned.

Also, they keep the forum list simple. Many other sites have so many that they're quite difficult to navigate
