THR Monthly Shootout

This is what i propose. a THR monthly shoot out. All Handguns and Rifles. 4 catagories
1 handgun iron site
2 handgun scope
3 rifle iron site
4 rifle scope

We could make it start the first of every month and run for 21 days. say March 1-21. Judges determine places after that standard NRA scoring. Announcements made last day of each month


THR monthly shoot out.

1. print out a target on standard 8 1/2 by 11. then go to your local range set it up at 2 given ranges for handguns iron sites and scopes. then 2 different ranges for iron sites rifle and 2 given for scope.

Next shoot 10 rounds only On your Honor

post pics of your results.

Moderators are the judges

So now just need every ones opinion on this and see if Moderators want to act as judges. Thr will have to figure out who will be the official judges and which target we can use.

Targets need to be signed and dated with name and user name to qualify can not re use a target for another month.

I'm in.

I don't have a scoped handgun, but I could participate in the other 3 categories.

Please make the rifle distance no more than 100 yards...many of us do not have access to ranges with target options at longer distances.

Sounds like fun. Count me in too, although it might be better to ask for volunteers to do scoring rather than dump on the mods.

this does sound like fun. Gives me an excuse to scope a handgun. I have been wanting to for a while anyway.

This is a great idea and I am totally in. Someone will have to write up some rules for distance, number of shots allowed for warm-up, possible power factor for pistol cartridges, lots of stuff to think about. I also agree that there should be a 100 yard rifle distance, and then possibly a long range distance.
