THR thread inevitabilities

167. Someone will start a thread about something and then never be heard from on that thread again.

168. There will be at least three thread active at all times dedicated to pointing out the gun related flaws in a movie or TV show.

169. There is a 75% chance that one of those shows will be CSI

170. Oleg will post yet another of his awesome posters

171. A thread with the words "Brady Campaign", "Gun grabber" or "Violence Policy Center" will always illicit the following: :cuss: :fire: :banghead: and :barf:

173. 50% of any thread on Mythbusters will consist of posts pointing out that the show is entertainment, not real science.

174. A thread bashing illegal immigration will remain open until someone with an opposing viewpoint steps in. At that point a moderator will decide that the thread is off-topic.

175. If anyone posts a question about less-lethal shotgun rounds, s/he will be inundated with posts about how buckshot is the only way to go and you might as well not have a gun otherwise. None of these posts will come anywhere near answering the question.

:neener:

174. The words "Molon Labe" or "cold dead fingers" will eventually turn up in every thread.
175. Someone will make a lengthy, well-reasoned post on any topic, and 3 out of the next 5 posts will be "+1"
176. Any thread involving the 1911 will derail into discussions of how John Moses Browning is God's gift to mankind.
177. Any discussion of home defense will degenerate into flame wars about how .223 won't penetrate a sheet of paper and 9mm will fly through all the walls in your home and kill a kitten in the next county, with a corollary mention about using one weapon to "fight" to another.

:D

.

467) When making suggestions, people will always recommend what they own, in spite of anything else. Example:

Q: I need a good medium range varmint/target rifle. Light, wood/blue, under $500. What shall I get?

A: Well, my Barrett .50 works pretty well. You should get one.

468) Unabashed LEO/law worship. This bewildering phenomenon normally
rears its ugly head within 10 posts.

469) .308 Why?

470) I consistenly get 0.000067 MOA groups at 1000 yards with my J frame Smith.

In any thread on Mythbusters, there is a 93.5% chance that somebody will mention how hot Kari is, and a 12.5% chance that someone will post a pic.

At least one poster will argue that any given problem can be traced back to the "damn Mexicans." Or the UN.

If there weren't Mexicans or the UN, we wouldn't have that problem either.:neener:

Couple of my favorites-

"Brand X is hands down the best combat handgun ever designed. How do I know? Well actually I'm only 17 and the bulk of my firearms knowledge comes from Rainbow Six, but I feel qualified to chime in on every thread with my professional opinion nonetheless."

"Does anyone know of any double secret law loophole that will allow me as a 19 year old to carry a gun?"

* There's a 50% chance that a member who writes "Nuff said." will add another three or four posts before the thread is closed.

* Any gun in production before you were born is a well made, elegant, firearm with a rich tradition. Any gun made after you started carrying is a solution looking for a problem, cheaply constructed, with unnecessary features. This is true whether you are 18 or 81.

It's inevitable that this will tie into the 1911A1 vs. Glock arguement.

People desperate to sound like they HAVE A LIFE, so they post lots of crap on the forums to feel better about themselves.

People trying to make themselves sound like they are the GOD of the gun world.

Someone, in any thread regarding Ruger semi-automatic handguns will describe them as being the same size as a canned ham/can of spam/State of Texas.

Any time anyone posts about any Ruger someone will comment that they'd never buy a Ruger because of what whoever said about AWs and Hi-Cap (normal) mags over a decade ago.

Someone posts a zombie/SHTF/TEOTWAWKI/bash against mods thread and someone will post: "Thread lock in 5-4-3-2-1" Someone will post their views before it gets locked, then the mods will lock it.
