I don’t mean to drown the thread, but I realized today that my life is blessed with being indoors a mere nine hours a day. Seven or so of those spent sleeping. I even did some of that outside last week at the campground.
Most all of my days are enjoying the grace of Nature.
But even so, there aren’t a lot of grand vistas to photograph in Michigan. Most of our magic is close and intimate. And elusive, dodging camera snaps at whim. Like the Snipe in my Range trip thread. (It really is there.)
I have seen so many bears, while my boss, the outdoorsman of outdoorsmen, has never seen one until his bird feeder was stomped and munched this spring in his fifty seventh year.
We hunted fireflies last night, unsuccessfully.
I also hunted a Sphinx Moth with my phone, without success. Less trusting than a hummingbird.
Thank you,
@460Shooter. Sometimes it’s the small things, a nice day, the smell of hay, my boy’s hug, or even a thread about the outdoors, that make one appreciate the small section in time we are allotted.
So, with no more gilding of the Lily, this is what accompanied me on this yard day.
