If you have a favorite nature walk post a pic!I love this thread. Not only the pics of guns and knives, but the outdoor pics are great.
I have no place to walk about and shoot, so it is tough to contribute. I’ll come up wit something though.
Thank you!460Shooter
I think the photo you posted in #125 is fantastic! Got the trees, the meadows, the mountains, and the clouds above...just stunning!

Metal detecting with my daughter and dogs. Found 2 7mm mag cases. Messy hunters. Looks like about 30 years underground. Glock 22 in a Fanny pack came along for the ride.
I’m glad a few folks have been enjoying this thread. I honestly thought we’d have a lot more participants but that’s ok.I don’t mean to drown the thread, but I realized today that my life is blessed with being indoors a mere nine hours a day. Seven or so of those spent sleeping. I even did some of that outside last week at the campground.
Most all of my days are enjoying the grace of Nature.
But even so, there aren’t a lot of grand vistas to photograph in Michigan. Most of our magic is close and intimate. And elusive, dodging camera snaps at whim. Like the Snipe in my Range trip thread. (It really is there.)
I have seen so many bears, while my boss, the outdoorsman of outdoorsmen, has never seen one until his bird feeder was stomped and munched this spring in his fifty seventh year.
We hunted fireflies last night, unsuccessfully.
I also hunted a Sphinx Moth with my phone, without success. Less trusting than a hummingbird.
Thank you, @460Shooter. Sometimes it’s the small things, a nice day, the smell of hay, my boy’s hug, or even a thread about the outdoors, that make one appreciate the small section in time we are allotted.
So, with no more gilding of the Lily, this is what accompanied me on this yard day.

Trucks are red.
Tractors are green.
Pistols are 1911’s!
I like the XDs. .45acp... I almost bought one once, but my lgs suddenly sold it!Alright. A few pictures to keep this going.
Same location on my bike. There’s a tunnel I turned around at 7 miles from my house. Just a fast burn. Carried my XDs-45 IWB on my Bigfoot gun belt.

While I have nicer guns than that XDs, I keep it as my hiking and biking beater. It shoots straight so I can’t ask for more. Plus some times you just want to carry a 45.
