oleg, that poster is perfect. a work of art. let me know when it's available on a tshirt. i'll buy it.

Great Poster

I love your work, you have some of the best ideas to tackle some very touchy (for the uniformed) subject.

Bryan:D

I love that which they defend, and I like the weapons too. (is that wrong?)

Nice work, Oleg. I can't think of a thing to change.

It's the sort of thing I want to see on huge billboards along the highways throughout the country. Take care of that, would you? ;)

That is a hell of a great poster Oleg, when it comes out on a t shirt, I might invite myself to a NAACP meeting and wear it. Even though I'm not a member anymore, I'd love to see some members freak out over it.:neener:

Hate to rain on the parade.

The quotation is very neat. The picture is great, and so is the faded "TRUE LOVE" in the background (I think that should be a bit more obvious). They just don't work together, if the purpose is to promote RKBA. The gun and holster look like cop gear, so most will assume the woman is a cop who just got home from work, or just picked up the kids. The text should be something suggesting that a gun is appropriate safety equipment for ordinary women who want to protect their children. The Tolkien bit makes sense to me, but I'm already on the bandwagon. It's too long and too abstract for this picture. I don't know what sort of picture would go with it - I'm sure you could think of a better idea, Oleg.

I will suggest that in another poster. I am trying to cover every facet of the complex messages we try to deliver.

this poster is.....

superb!

Oleg,
I've observed your posts and visited your site.....IMHO this is one of your bests.

Re...the quote reference....most people know who Tolkein is... I doubt any but true Tolkein nuts (like me :) ) know his 2nd tier characters, let alone can pronounce their non-english names. Keep quote as is.

Re...the smiles.....as others have already said....big cheasy smiles are natural for kids (what do they still have that we adults have lost). Keep as is.

Re...the piece selection....It probably does look like "cop gear" to people who know guns....but I assume they're not really the target of the poster. But to non-gun people (and even to me) the gun looks huge! I suspect many women could not picture themselves sporting such a rig (I know my wife couldn't). Perhaps a broader spectrum of veiwers could "relate" better to a smaller carry piece, even one carried IWB (the exposed grip still says it all, but in a more subtle way) .

Then again...I'm not sure if IWB is comfy for women with "hips"

Nicely done

I picked Glock to be 1)visible 2)generic and same reason for the holster (visibility). It is further to the front than normal for visibility also.

i too have to agree that this is a very well created poster! SSN Vet also has a good tidbit with the size of the weapon and the intended audience.

Works for me, tho I'd go with something a tad smaller on the mom's hip, whatever.

The pic of the 'rents with the serious stuff on slings just makes me smile so hard and giggle, great family values, so to speak. God bless all y'all:cool:

Makes even more sense considering what he went through in The Great War. He was a low-ranking officer in the mud and blood of trench warfare - an orc driven with whips and clubs as it were. He had no romantic or glorious notions about war and considered it a necessary evil.

I must not be paying attention.

Oleg, I knew you had a site with your work on it, but didn't know it was available for sale! I'll be logging on and making a buy next paycheck. Good stuff, especially this one. Sums up nicely the whole reason I carry.

But I do love the bright sword for it's sharpness, the arrow for it's swiftness, and the warrior for his glory. Not to mention the sweet smell of gunpowder, the fine lines of a nice wood stock flowing from the action and barrel of a rifle, and the feel of a pistol that fits my hand as if it were made just for me.

Still, nice poster.

Amen, Oswulf, I thought that as well. Still, compared to those things (i.e. my wife and daughter) I defend, tools mean very little. I mean nothig thrills me like a smile on my child's face or that look adoration (often misplaced I think) that my wife reserves for only me. Nevertheless, the feel of a beautifully balances pistol in my hand does give me that feeling of butterflies in my stomach.

Oleg, you're a genius. I love your work. I am very gald you used a quote from Tolkein.
