Can't have "too many guns." My collection consists of historical mil-surps to modern and they all see range time at some point. Even when not shooting them I enjoy the history of some of them. Guns also led me to my other hobby, reloading my own bullets.
"Too many" is the wrong the phrase. "Comfortable" is more appropriate.
The day that I cannot recall the exact location of a piece and my quickest critical path to get to it and make it go bang is the day I have too many.
My musical instruments are in the similar category. Essentially I have one each of everything I can play well, and do not keep anything with strings on it that so rarely sees daylight that I have forgotten it's character.
