I traded a 95-98% auto for a 90-95% revolver, only paid $316.00 o.t.d. for the p94 and wondering if i did good.the gp100 had packymer grips on it(although they arent on it very well) and the p94 had 2 ten rounds mags.

Not bad at all. Personally, I've always been a semi-auto man, but recently, I've begun to enjoy the simplicity of a revolver. I don't have to pick up my brass from the floor, no need to load mags, I can shoot full charged magnums-the loud boom is really fun, or I can shoot pussycat WC loads for target shooting. No need to bring extra mags, magloader, my bench-mounted brass-catcher, etc.

Enjoy!

It's Pachmayr. And IMHO the old factory grips are better.

Otherwise--A very, very good gun. Don't look back.

A few years back I made the same trade but my semi auto was a ruger 95 9mm. I have been very happy with my gp100... built like a tank...

I have more fun with my GP-100 than any other handgun. I shoot it straighter, too. I haven't tried aftermarket grips because the factory grips fit me perfectly.

I'd surely do that trade, I've been wanting a 4" full lug barrel gp100 in stainless to go with my 1/2 lug 6" version. And my DAO stainless .40 P94 had a HORRIBLE trigger pull. As dod my DA/SA .40 P94. And poor accuracy.

I do like my P95 and P90 and P85 though and my P89 that I sold and should have kept.

I don't see many 3" versions or blue versions in my area for some reason. I don't think I have ever seen the .38spl only chambered version in person either.

GP100's are so durable as to be legendary for it.
