So the punk mentioned in this thread has back:
https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...d-to-forced-himself-into-my-apartment.868343/
He is back with his girlfriend who is in her early 20's. The girl is also living on the streets and is trouble just as he is.

I had to call the office of my housing to get rid of the dude Sunday when he showed up next to my aparment and he also said to me and another client sitting on a bench I was taking to, "be my bitch". His girlfriend was on my pouch banging on my door and again had to get staff to make her leave...

I been here close to seven years and and never had this problem before. Despite all the foot traffic that come through here.

So I'm looking for way to avoid trouble. I do not open my door if trouble shows up, and call the office and/or police to deal with it...

Now if I'm walking, trouble can show up anytime.

Maybe you could take up using a cane. I understand a cane can be an excellent defensive weapon with proper training. I think there are some threads about this in the non-firearms defense section.

I thought about that, but I'm not sure about the legality of carrying a defensive can if there is nothing wrong with my legs.

There is nothing wrong with the vast majority of people in the country but many are or were supposed to be under quarantine for weeks or months.

Get security cameras, document and report every incident with this guy. If you can't legally carry a firearm don't. Get pepper spray or something similar.

Real simple, file an order of protection. If he comes back, he'll take a ride in a police car. Done.
The Housing Ancency already has a trespassing warrant against both of them. They told to call police and give the copy to them they give me.

To be very clear, I want to avoid using violence and for that matter, anything deadly to deal with them.

Absolutely, positively 100% legal to carry a cane with you. Make sure it is nice & stout.
A nice, bright flashlight is another thing you can take everywhere as well.

Some people use one just because they like how it looks. If it's not sold as a weapon I don't know what the issue would be, how about posting that question in legal?

BTW a person with perfectly good legs may use a cane if they tend to experience dizziness.

Well I perfer to keep everything in one thread... I'm assuming that people by instinct will raise their arms and hands to protect their faces and necks, so if I have to aim for the knees?

Depends on your strengths . for me, I'd be looking for a place that will cause incapacitation without permanent injury. There are a few spots you can hit someone that'll take the fight right out of them, the knee isn't one of them.

The point of posting in legal would be that we have actual attorneys moderating that section, so unlike us amateurs, they could give you a definitive answer.

Well I wouldn't know as I have no combat or defensive training, and no experince with either one.

Thanks. The idea of me aiming for an attacker's knees is to quickly put him out of the fight so I can get away and call the police. The first time I got the police involved, they informed me they were already looking for him for a bunch of crap he done before.

I'm not going not to use my own "Brand of Justice" to teach the guy a lesson. That is the Police and Court's job.

I understand your circumstances. You were advised to get pepper spray to use if you feel threatened. If your residential facility has a trespassing warrant out then you should try to find out who "has the case" and put their direct number on speed dial and report the guy on sight. Simply say they're on the property harassing and threatening residents. Also keep your pepper spray at hand at all times since this vermin is out harassing residents.

I going to get some since I had an old man I once knew follow me right out of jack n Box harassing me for a few bucks. I had to go in the QT next door to get away from him. I since then take my cell phone with me. Some time later(Year or two?) after that he was on the sidewalk right outside the Housing Office and threw a fit when I wouldn't give him a dollar.

Used to be a coworker and both him and his younger son(also coworker) were drunks back then.

That is the first time I considered getting pepper spray... This time I'm getting some.

It sounds like you have some chaotic surroundings. I hope you can find some peace and find a way to ignore or bypass the folks who are bringing you down. Peace is a state of mind, once others know that their actions won't affect you in any way, typically they'll leave you alone. Works for me.

Trouble has two legs, sometime four. It was peaceful here. Not sure but I think they "followed" a couple of folks who moved in not too ago long. I had some trouble with the young woman in question last year. Everything was peaceful until she came back with current boyfriend shortly after in tow...

Another client who live in the apartment building next door who know both of them long then I have, inform me that the 17 y/o guy has a young little girl. Now I am under the impression that having a child(ren) changes everything very suddenly. I mean if I had a kid I would at least be there for them and make every effort to teach my child by example to learn from my mistakes.

Alas too many people have to be push against the Wall and through it to change. Sometimes the person requires a Near Death Experience to do so.:what::eek:

Unfortunately, kids having kids doesn't always have the same effect as people who have some degree of maturity having a kid. I know this personally, because I was basically a 34 year old kid when my kid was born, but it did change me. I can't imagine having a kid at half that age. Some people take a while to figure it out while some people never get it.
About anything you can quickly grab and swing can become a weapon. Walking stick, shillelagh, whatever. I know of a woman who took off her flip flop and beat an unruly kid half to death (I'll never let my mom live that down, but I really only thought I was half dead and recovered fully from my sore a**)
If you gotta protect yourself, follow the advice of some of the folks here...or use whatever you can get your hands on. Perhaps ask LE and housing management what you CAN legally have.
