I ordered a Charles Daly 3.5 shotgun from walmart

got a call 3 days later that it would be on back order for at least 3 months. I went and got my money back. It's not their fault, but in this modern computerized everything world you'd think they should have known this when I ordered it.

I ended up at a Scheels after I got my money back and got lucky, found a barely used mossberg 835 for less than the charles daly.

I bought a weatherby vanguard from wally world a few years ago. The paperwork was the same but when my background check cleared and i paid for the gun they wouldn't let me take posession of it until a clerk had escorted me to my vehicle.(with him carrying the gun ) When i went back to get a box of ammo because they wouldn't sell me bullets on the same day i bought the gun, the clerk tried to give me a box of 300 win magnums for a gun that was chambered in 300wby magnum. He told me it didn't matter, that it would shoot both. He then proceeded to argue with me about it. I really don't mind elderly gentlemen talking down to me, seeing as how they usually know a heck of a lot more then me anyway. But this guy went so far as to be ignorant about it and make it sound like i was the idiot. :banghead:
The only thing i buy from wal-mart any more is butt wipe and cleaning supplies.

BTW, I spent $180 on a 10/22 (at a small gun store), when I knew Wal-Mart had it for quite a bit less. A year or two later, the place folded. Still don't regret trying to help the little guy.
