which one should i get for my next gun? its a just for fun gun. also i live in new york so i cant have over 10 rounds unless the magazine was made before 1994, which was making me think why get an ak? the hi point 9mm is cheaper, and the ammo's cheaper. and im not sure if i would want the new style ts carbine or the old i dont need any rails.

i think they can run the numbers. that is new yorks only p.i.t.a long gun law we have. good point, but its a felony if you get caught with one. so i dont think i would want to risk it.

Heck, at least you might get the magazine option with the AK. Hi-points are set at only 10 rounds. And it really is hard to beat for plinking fun.

Yes, I say go for the AK. But if you have to get a 10 round mag you can buy the Saiga that comes with two (10 rounds) mags. You can buy 20 or 30 round mags later.

The 10/63 and the HiPoint are very different firearms with very different uses, generally speaking. Kind of a weird pair of choices.|

Get the WASR, much better fun gun with more uses than the Hi-point. Ammunition is close enough that I would pay the extra for the pop of rifle round. The "preban" magazines are easy enough to find.

AK, the hipoints will always be around, plus the new TS just came onto the market and may drop a bit in price if you wait on it.

If you were to pick just one, go with the wasr and never look back.

Otherwise, just buy both. :)

What part of NY?
I just came from a gun show,lots of pre-ban mags,lots
of WASR's(too much $$$$).
Get a Saiga and convert it in time as you get the funds.
If you really want a 9mm carbine, check out the KelTec Sub2000
in a glock frame. Pre-ban 31rd. mags can be found!!!!!!

I didn't vote in your poll.

You are considering an intermediate caliber rifle with a pistol caliber carbine. You say it is for a fun gun. If you pick the Hi Point your fun is cheaper and is you pick the WASR you fun cost more per shot.

Just decide how much you want to pay for your fun.

Not online. Midway, Sportsmansguide, Cabela's. So on.. face to face ya you have to be 21.

that might get annoying having not being able to stop and pick up ammo when ever i feel like it. wait so i can buy the 9mm carbine yet i cant buy the ammo?
