Okay, everyone talking about pocket carry with their J frames. Well, I, in the past, have always worn Wrangler or Rustlers for the price at work. I mean, I am a mechanic, do dirty work, need to wear jeans. These jeans don't have big enough pockets either front or rear for either my Kel Tec or my Taurus M85UL. The best I could do was a small Grendel P12 in a rear pocket holster. It concealed well, had 12 rounds, is 100 percent reliable, and fairly combat accurate. I would prefer a .38 or better, but it's a gun I have confidence in and shoot well. I need to carry in a pocket to be discreet at work because IWB might flash if a customer comes along and I'm under a tractor or something rolling around.
Well, my jeans are getting worn, so today I bopped down to Wallyworld to check out the jeans. They had Wrangler cargo pocket jeans! I LOVE cargo pockets! Now, I'd rather carry in a front or rear pocket, but cargo pockets give my a place for my wallet, for one, so I don't have to sit on it and if I'm going to be driving a lot, a cargo pocket is a good place to carry. Big bonus, though, is on these, the front and rear pockets are big enough I can put my Taurus or P11 in 'em! I have a pocket holster for 'em and have been carrying the revolver all day in a front pocket. COOL! These are no more expensive than the regular Wranglers I have preferred in the past. Hope they stay around. You know how fashion is, here today, gone tomorrow.
Now the only time I'll have to carry the .380 is on bike trips where I might need to remove it and store it locked under a seat or in a saddle bag. I have a wallet holster built for it, just looks like a wallet, but a flap at the top covers the gun inside. I can removed it and stash it and no one knows it ain't a wallet. Other than that, at work, whatever, I'll carry a better caliber in a pocket from now on. Another cool thing about these jeans is in the top of each cargo pocket is a small pocket you can stick a cell phone into. I can put the phone in one side and the other one swallows my NAA mini revolver/holster grip.
