Just realized I might as well start wearing a peace button on my jacket and write born to kill on my helmet.
Seriously. I'm just trying to make a statement about the duality of man.
I got that.
Good one...

Its a reference to the movie "Full Metal Jacket," wherein the squad's M60 gunner ironically wears a peace sign and a Born to Kill pin on his helmet. What is that, some kind of sick joke?

I know. That is the question the Colonel asked him when he saw it. And actually it was the Joker, the photojournalist.
PG13 for language.
"Ain't nothin' as peaceful as a dead troublemaker."What is that, some kind of sick joke?!
Already done.
Oops, ya got me! I haven't watched it since I sold my M1A a few years ago......its just not the same.
Though I do have a retro "M16" now, so maybe its time again!
Agreed!I took Byron's HK91 into the deer stand. Once. The ergos were so bad, it was practically unusable. FALs, on the other hand, have great ergos.
I guess a lot depends on what you plan to do with it. Chances are you won't ever use it in any kind of battle so it is either a shooter, a competition rifle of some sort, or a trophy of some sort. The choice of rifle kind of depends on what you really want the thing to do. A lot of rifles look really nice hanging on the wall. Or sitting in a safe.No good reason. Cantankerousness and an unreasonable opposition to ubiquity in the main.

This website needs a Rifle “sub” forum to be called Battle Rifle.
There is probably enough interest in most of these rifle types (described here) to support it.
