I took out my first guns the other day to go shooting.
A ruger MKII and 10/22.

My dad and I used to go to a dry creek and shoot 1000 rounds every weekend.

Once I grew up I slowed down a bit but continued to shoot these two guns quite a bit.

After some calculations I figure each gun has at the minimum
40k to 60k rounds fired from 1985 to present.

Both rifle and pistol look a little rough but are still mechanically sound.

So my question is: What gun(s) in your collection have been fired the most, approximately how many rounds and how well have they held up?

an old pump action 12guage that's about40yrs older than I am. I haven't actually shot it yet myself. It's getting refinished right now. Belonged to my G/F and I don't want to F it up. I don't know how many rounds though

I bought my Browning Buckmark three years ago and have gone thru an average of 5,000 rnds a year. Shooting .22 ammo is almost like shooting for free and I enjoy the precision nature of .22's. 2X2 blocks of wood, golf balls, shotgun shells, and even .45 brass are all favorites.

The gun has been flawless in operation, the only ammo it doesn't like is Wildcat, which in my gun lives up to its name!

1: My first Ruger 10/22
2: Ruger Mk II (10") (Will probably be overtaken by a Browning Buckmark base model in the future.)
3: SIG P226
4: USP9f
5: DPMS Lo-Pro classic, CETME, parts FAL

Taurus PT99AF the most shot centerfire.

Dan Wesson 22 Revolver most shot rimfire.

WWII-ized Colt 1991A1 most shot real gun.

My most fired handguns are my SIG Sauer P226 and my Kimber Custom II. Some of the others are close, but these two have the highest round counts.

Another 10/22 vote followed by my 22/45. That's what the .22 is for in my book.....cheap practice. Plus I'm too old & fat & decrepid to be picking up as much center-fire brass as it takes to feed my shooting jones.
