What guns do you insist on buying before you die?

I thought of this after the "bucket" thread, except this is a "gun bucket list."

Guns on my bucket list:

pmr 30

an uzi pistol (not any uzi handgun, the small pistol that is no longer made)

a semi auto .50 bmg

Do I think I will be dead soon? Who knows.

I guess when you meet St. Peter at the pearlly gates, you can tell him that you achieved your lifelong ambition; bought a Uzi pistol or 50 BMG.

I have a few things I'd like to acquire myself but frankly I have already acquired most of what I want in terms of firearms. I would like a factory orginal nickel 2.5" Colt Diamondback 22. Honestly, I'd like to have 10 of them. :) It would be a good start on a retirement fund and that is most likely all that were ever manufactured.

I actually have most of the guns I want and more than enough to keep me shooting for the rest of my life. Two exceptions.

First, a S&W K-32 Masterpiece to go with my K-38 and K-22.
Second, a custom flintlock, 40 caliber, 42" swamped barrel 13/16ths across the flats, the older-style, flat butt, little to no carving but super premium wood, iron furniture, browned barrel or left in the white so a patina can develop, double set triggers. Not that I've given it any thought.

Not a gun, per se, but put premium sights, front and back, on my old Navy Arms 45-70 Rolling Block.

Semi Auto .50 BMG Rifle
High-end 1911 chambered in .45 ACP

If I ever move to a class III state, some sort of full-auto,
perhaps an M-16 or Thompson.

Since I'm seriously addicted to flintlocks, there are two I'd like to get. A Ferguson rifle(repro would be fine!), and a flintlock Hall rifle.

A 1st generation Colt SAA just to look at and wonder where it's been and what it's seen.
I'd also like to have an original 1851 Navy and an 1860 Army. Just love the old Colts.

I want my old Python back!! The one I sold for about 1/3 of what it sells for now. And this time I'd keep it. And I wouldn't mind having the short SA Stevens .22 bolt action squirrel killin' machine I got for my 10th BD.

The only guns I still REALLY want for my collection are a .357 leveraction rifle, a 12ga coachgun, a second New Vaquero and maybe a .44magnum revolver.

Maybe one day...

I guess you could say there are guns Id like to shoot before I die, but buying certain guns was and still are not on my "bucket" list. As far as guns Id like to shoot, anything unique and/or makes a loud boom. Shooting is fun, but like everything else, you won't take anything with you when you die.

Well, probably no more guns, but I would like to travel much more. Maybe if i could pick up a gun or two in some other countries. Not sure of the legal hurdles though.

There are some that I may still save up for and then there are some that will have to wait until I either win the lottery or become independently wealthy. Really just one or two would do it for me. Some that I would eventually like to save up for are:

A full custom Ruger Bisley in .500S&W 1.4". Fitted with a 4¾" octagon barrel, Colt ejector, custom express sights, ivory or French walnut stocks, perhaps some sort of topstrap conversion, roundbutted, fitted with a lanyard ring, maybe 50% coverage engraving, completely blueprinted and handfinished. Either full carbona blue, or color case hardened with a traditional brown finish on the barrel like Seyfried's #13.

A fully engraved, full carbona blue USFA, .44Spl 4¾" SAA with carved ivory stocks and dovetail front sight.

I've got an Old Model Blackhawk that I want to convert to a 7½" .38-40 with a Power Custom Colt-style grip frame, full blue with custom sights and carved ivory.

Further down the list, I'd love to have an old British double. Preferably a 20ga or smaller. Doesn't have to be elaborate.

I'd also love to have an original rook rifle as my be-all, end-all small game rifle. I want it chambered in an original, long-obsolete rook rifle cartridge that it takes all day just to make a few cases for. I'll load it with cast bullets and shoot the hell out of it.

Another on the list would be a high-end .22LR boltgun. Perhaps a Cooper with extra fancy wood, case hardened receiver and mounts, maybe an octagon barrel. Top it with a Leupold.

There are a boatload of them but topping the list is probably a M16. That way I can have a full auto 22, 9mm, and 5.56.

Shooting is fun, but like everything else, you won't take anything with you when you die.

I plan on taking both my Luger, and my Boker pocket knife. :D

My heirs can have the rest. :p
