What have you done in the reloading room today

New hand load today- SMK 144 grain HPBT over H4350. Increments of 5 rounds each when the mosquitoes fade away I’ll see how they work and hopefully find the sweet spot. According to my measurements they should be 0.015 off the lands. I’ll shoot them in the Savage 110 Precision Elite I just performed the deep cleaning on. Same rifle I posted on a while back that had loose picatinny rail screws.

A friend of a friend got a 460, and I was the guy who was supposed to make sure he didn't blow himself up.... felt exactly the same as loading up 45-70.View attachment 1210859
50 gr of powder with a 200 gr bullet… in a hand cannon… what’s not to love. Haha

I pulled the bullets and 38 special cases off the shelf. Then realized I don’t have the correct shell plate for the progressive. So… hopefully I’ll have time to load some (single stage) after Therapy and before the church activity I have tonight.

I got some 300 grain xtp in a trade so we were using 40.0 of h110 under those. I pitty the oinker that ventures in his garden.

Just a small thing but big to me. I found all of my Lyman 30 cal bullet sizing dies. .308, .310 and .311. After our move to town stuff got scattered. .309 will be handled with a Lee. Now to get back to my 788 30-30 project and cast some 311291, 311413 and 309-170F bullets.

I used to motorcycle camp, but my bike never looked that packed-down. I do applaud his Milwaukee tool preference. I am a fan.

I am still fussing with assembling my range reloading kit at my bench. In the mean time, I am setting up now for more 45 ACP. I have not used my 45 ACP cylinder on my Pietta 45 Colt yet, so I am reloading some 45 ACP this afternoon.

I just shot some .45 acp thru my Pietta an hour ago. Absolute bliss! Easy, accurate shooting, just plain fun. Its on over at "What did you shoot today" in General discussions.

I added some storage crates. 3 of them. All marked pretty similarly. Ammunition boxes for 105mm howitzer ammo. I don’t have a plan for them yet, but at $10 each I couldn’t say no. I may end up storing ammo in them, but I need a place to store my leather working gear which still is packed up, and I haven’t unboxed any of the casting gear yet either. IMG_9592.jpeg

I have little to report from the reloading room.
My RCBS bench primer remains on back order. It's been over a month now. Not pleased about that. At least they haven't charged me for it yet.
The 600 #10 percussion caps I ordered from Cabelas have not been delivered to the store yet. Even less pleased with that as they already charged my card.
I have some brass to work on, but I already have enough ammo loaded that I don't need any more. Need to get to the range and offload some lead and powder.
