What is your favorite "inferior caliber" gun?

Had several people laugh and say "32 auto||||"
Depends where you physically are (ie. not at the range), but usually the quickest way to stop the laughter is to say "Yeah, but at least I'm carrying - are you?"

Folks get a tad thoughtful at that point ;)

I like Stoney's pimped out .32 Colt.

I really enjoy shooting my 1908 Colt vest pocket .25... don't ask me why.

I must admit to a soft spot in my heart for my CZ83. With the new Corbon 80 grain DPX loads I am not sure that the .380 is all that much of a "paper tiger" any more.

.380 Kel-Tec P3AT My back pocket "BATTLE BUDDY". Say what you want about mine... but I always have it with me

+1 with the right ammo and at close encounters a .380 will mess up your day and my P3at has been so darn reliable for so little $$

Kel-Tec P-32. History Channel onec referred to the .32 ACP as the powerful cartridge that an assasin used to kill Archduke Fernindad, thus starting WW I. Hmmm....somehow the word powerful and .32 ACP should not be used in the same sentence, but, there you have it.

Cz-70

I love this little gun. It's very accurate and fun to shoot. For $120 and a little Gunkote, it was a real bargain. I have carried it, but it's really not noticeably smaller or lighter than my 45ACP Colt CCO once they are in the holster. It and my Walther PP are just toys.

My model 85 Bersa in .380. It's an older high-cap DA/SA pistol I've had for decades. Love it, have shot a couple thousand rounds plus through it, and used it for a daily carry piece for a couple of years a long time ago just for a change of pace from a pair of small revolvers (one .38 and one .357). Don't use it much any more but won't part with it either. It just works so fine.

Lots of .32 and .380's, but no one I've noticed has mentioned the ol' mainstay:

Smith and Wesson model 10 in .38 Special

.380 Makarov

The .380 commercial Maks are super-fun to shoot: totally reliable, accurate, soft recoil and adjustable, easy-to-see sights. Great gun for introducing beginners. What's not to like?

Dirty Bob

My Baretta 25 - My Baretta 3032 .32 ACP - My Taurus / Baretta .380

Only I do not really think that the .32 & .380 are inferior! But I never reccomend the .25. I feel in a Close quarters defensive situation with a baretta .25 a person with firearm knowledge and skills neccesary for quick shot placement, I like the .25 and the .32 Tomcat is just a diamond in my book! ( I like these two especially traveling for say a rest area bathroom or similar situations ) Its extremely unexpected to a perpetraitor.

SW 432 in 32 HR mag. Got it at a good price just because. It's light and 6 shots and I use it as a BUG or a dress up, must pocket carry gun.

I have a 642 but the 432 is a touch more pocket and recoil friendly.

Also, have another just because gun - an NAA 22S mini revolver - smallest thing you ever saw with 5 shots. It's a BUG for a BUG.

If wardrobe and circumstances allow you to carry your favorite cc firearm (Walther P99c/AS for me) you can still carry this Seecamp LWS32 as a back up to your primary cc firearm..

Many times here in the South (SE GA) heat, humidity, wardrobe limitations simply won't allow for cc a larger firearm, and those times the LWS32 makes the trip..

Heck, truthfully it "makes the trip" all the time.. ;)

Best Wishes,

Kel-Tec P-32 . The most underpowered gun I carry, but I carry it everywhere it's legal to carry. It is a great comfort to know its always there-when some other carry guns are not.
