Glock.

P.S. You didn't include HK in the poll. The creators of "Polymer" frame pistols.
The popular belief is that the first polymer pistol was HK VP-70. It is true and not at the same time. If we are talking about a production model, then yes, HK VP70 is the first one (introduced in 1970). However, if you are asking the first ever made working polymer pistol, then the answer is Russian TKB-023 (ТКБ-023), which is essentially a Makarov pistol with a polymer frame (designed in 1963)!

That’s a hard one between Glock and S&W . I liked Glocks years ago , but I like the S&W M&P 2.0 pro series and plus series now .

I have never handled a polymer framed handgun that “felt” right in my hand. I am partial to 1911’s, Walter PPK’s and Smith & Wesson revolvers. Can’t really explain why they just don’t seem to fit my hands.

Most favorite is a HK P30(L) & USP (Expert & Elite), Beretta Px4 and APX, Walther, CZ (P07), and only the S&W M&P 45 Sheild (I'm not fond of any other M&Ps). HK polymer pistols are the best in class and best looking polymer pistols on the market IMHO.

My least favorite that I have experience with are Glocks, Sigs, Ruger, and Taurus. Not a fan at all of any polymer pistols from those manufacturers. I take that back, I'd like a Glock 23 Gen 5, but anything else from Glock is a no go.

Excuse me, did I accidentally stumble into the GlockTalk forum?

Apparently a lighthearted ribbing between the both of us that wasn't that serious and was a joke that we both were laughing about got under a mods skin. smdh

Do you own that specific model? The new steel frame ones are nice.

I have 2 polymer pistols , a Glock 23 and a Kahr P9 that I use for CC . I am looking to get another one with the improvement in round capacity of the single stack pistols . I have handed all of them I believe . I like the feel of the Glock 43x the best , but I will probably go with the S&W Shield Plus because of the reviews it gets as an accurate and soft shooting small pistol . It just feels like they need to make the grip rounder feeling to me . My Kahr almost feels like a 1911 in my hand , it feels good . I did put a rubber grip sleeve on it and that improved the feel for me .

Yes. Have not had occasion to handle or shoot one of the steel framed models, but this pistol comes in a bit sleeker, smaller than the 320 Carry and the trigger is delightful. (I didn't think our joking got too far out of bounds, either, but...)

The HK P30 gets my vote as favorite hammer-fired poly-framed pistol. I've not handled or shot the SK, but it looks cool.

In all fairness, gotta put this one in my top 5:
