What pistol do you trust the most with your life? Which one goes bang every time and you are betting will continue to do so when the chips are down?

For me it is the Beretta 92fs Police Special that I traded a nice S&W 586 for. I missed that 586 but the Beretta has proven to be a trusty friend. I have shot at least a dozen different type of ammo though it in all conditions and it has been 100%. I have tried to make it jam but it still feeds everything. I have slightly abused the gun and it still keeps on humming.

It rode with me on duty when I was an armored car driver/messenger and now continues to protect me as my one and only home defense gun. I have lots of other guns but this is the only one I keep loaded. It has proven itself in ways that can't be replaced. It would take me years and thousands of rounds of ammo to ever replace it since I would have to test it's replacement. I can't sell it ever.

My Glock 30 or my customized Colt 1911 in .38 Super.

Both run flawlessly but it took a lot of work to get the Super to where it is now. The Glock has been out of the box reliable since day one.

That's tough. It would be between my S&W 1086 and my G19. I'd have to give the nod to the 1086 though...though, neither have ever failed in any way.

Actually, the guns I haven't trusted I've traded or sold off. Of the guns I own, I keep my USPs at my side the most ;)

Both my P11 Kel Tec and my P90 Ruger (and others) go bang every time. I shoot both well. Both are deadly accurate even at longish range. The P11 gets the most carry because it's so light and small. The P90 is the one I'd want most if chips were down and I couldn't have a rifle or shotgun, but the P11 is almost as competent. It's sight radius slows me down with it a bit, but combat accuracy is great! Neither have failed me through thousands of rounds, competition or range practice.

Ouch! :( How can you smile about that?

I discovered, in Post Katrina South Mississippi, my most trusted pistol. As much as I wanted to go to my CZ-75 in 9mm, I ended up strapping on my EAA Witness in .45ACP. I like my CZ's so much better, but when push came to shove, the Witness is what I took. That, to me, makes it my most trusted pistol.

1911

I have several 1911's that I trust completely. I also have complete trust in my P7M8. The P7 conceals better, but there's nothing like the .45 ACP.

Wow, that's tough. I'd have to say I'd be reaching for my GLOCK 23. I have all three of the GLOCK 45's, but I realize that if a storm were brewing, the G23 is the one I'd be picking up.

Well, okay, I'd pick up the G30 also...
