What kinda 45 are you carrying (besides 1911)

S&W 4506-1, S&W 4566, S&W Melonite 4566, S&W early production 6-round 4513TSW, S&W 7-round 4513TSW.

Doesn't get any better than those in a 45 - INCLUDING 1911's. :neener:

I've carried a Springfield XD45 and XD45GAP. Both are about the size of a Glock. I also carried an M&P45c for a short time until I had to give it back to the person I borrowed it from. I liked that one, too.

Glock 21SF. OWB/generally open carry. I tried a 30SF but had the well known FTRTB/FTF issues so I exchanged it with Glock for the 21SF.
i agree with with the large part. g30 sf in summer and full size 1911 in winter (inside pocket on a carhartt jacket)

Ruger P345
Not a great DA trigger but it fits my hand and points instinctively for me.
Pretty slim and mostly unnoticed when carried in a Fobus paddle

I can't afford a new gun anytime soon, these days, but my next serious gun (read: not that 22/45 I keep putting off, or the Mak I want) should seriously be a G36. For all those people who think Glocks have bad grips ... try one. I used to think the same way.

Kahr P45, with the funky DAO trigger? (Great subcompact CCW trigger, but I'd hate to judge it next to more combat oriented pistols)
I would say that there are legions of revolver shooters who would look at you at least somewhat askew

When I stopped carrying a 1911 as a duty gun, I carried a Sig 220 both on and off-duty...it is about the size of a Commander.

If you don't mind, is that the full size 220? How does the width compare with a 1911?
Thanks

Hells, there is one bottom-feeder shooter here who looks at him askew. Most people who claim the Kahr is anything nearly resembling a standard double action trigger have either never fired a Kahr or a double action gun. 8)

This was a full sized 220...it is a bit thicker than the 1911, but not as thick as a Glock G30

I was actually being kind.

I've felt a lot of revolver actions that weren't as smooth as that on a Kahr. I just sold me PPC gun that was based on a S&W K-frame and it was just a bit smoother than the action on my cleaned up CW9. The only revolver I've felt that was more light, smooth and reliable was than on an Apex Tactical competition tuned 627

Carried a Glock-36 and keep a full size S&W M&P45 either in the car or at home. Both have been super reliable. The full size M&P45 has impressed me not only with it's reliability but it's acuracy.

Glock 21 and a Glock 30 at same time (two is one ....). Mostly driven by commonality of magazines.

My personal favorite is the Sig P220 for a non-carry 45.

Oh, I know, this was aimed at ZeroDefect. Saying my E9 has a "funky double action trigger" that can't compare to a combat handgun is err ... not exactly spot on.
