Sig P220 Compact

DA/SA, no forgetting manual safety, decocker and can carry safely with the hammer down.

You can also get standard mags + new bottom plate to match the P220 Carry with 8+1 instead of 6+1.

I guess I am the only one that carries a Taurus 24/7 compact in 45 acp. Its been dead reliable for me. I shoot my 1911 better, but still can manage well enough with the 24/7 and have 12 rounds to take care of business.

Glock 30.
I am a long time fan of the 1911, but when I was looking for a compact carry 45, I couldn't ignore the great reports on the G30. I found one used, like new for sale near me and decided to give it a try.
I found I shoot it as well as a full sized 1911. Dead reliable with every load I have tried, and I like tzhe 10rd mag with a G21 13rd mag for a reload.

I personally do not like DA/SA handguns, if I had to look for a replacement for my Glock 21, I would have to go rent a Sig P220 SAO to see how it fit me.

I've been looking at them as of late for some reason.

The Kahr PM-45 was nt available when I purchased my Glock-36 and later the Kahr PM-9. Currently I would consider the Kahr PM-45 if I were assured of it's relaibility.

Glock 36 (as I type this,) S&W CS45 & S&W 4553TSW. Like Hangingrock, I love my 4506-1 (more than my Springfield Loaded 1911) except I find it too big/heavy for my typical IWB carry.

HK45C. Even my wife really likes this gun. Feels just right in my hands. You can carry it DA safety on/off or SA safety ON.

I rotate my 45's

Glock 30SF, Sig P220 Elite, S&W E Series Scandium round butt two tone. Usually opt for the G30 because of size and capacity.

Those that own Taurus 145 Millennium PRO like their small size, good capacity and accuracy. It's an easy carry.

Glock 30 almost every day for about 15 years now. Not interested in trying anything else. G36 was a little too thin for my long fingers and the G21 was a little too hard to conceal.

The Glock is reliable, easy to clean and replace parts when needed, and consistent trigger pull on each and every shot.
