My last handgun purchase was my XD45c.
Four main reasons I chose it were:

1) Size

2) Capacity

3) Website made it look really appealing

4) Was not a Glock (wanted to annoy my "If it don't say Glock it ain't worth dirt" friend)

I did not choose my last handgun.

I was given a H&R "22 Special" by a husband and wife, that are really close friends.
You see, they remembered I grew up with one of these, and appreciate and respect the sentimental value I have attached to that firearm, as it was a gift from one of my mentors as a kid.

They found one, and totally surprised me with this gift.

Here are some good pictures I found on Internet:

Mine is just like the one I was given as a kid.
A 7 shot, and it even has the factory gold plated front sight as mine did.

Yeah it shoots!

I collect Ring-Of-Fire pocket pistols and did not have a shiney example of a Raven MP-25.
So my pistol purchase last month was a Raven MP-25.
Before that, I found a Walther PPK/s for a low price and it was on my "to buy in 2009" list.
Before that, I found a Bulgarian Makarov for a reasonable price and it was on my "to buy in 2009" list.
Before that, I found a Radom P-64 for a reasonable price and it was on my "to buy in 2009" list.
Before that, I found an FEG AP-7.65 for a low price and it was on my "to buy in 2009" list.
Dang....I'm falling behind on my 2009 buying.

A P6, I had heard so many good things about them and the price was in my range and, I wanted something a bit smaller than my P229R .40 to carry from time to time so I figured since I liked my 229 and as accurate as it was that I couldn't get bit too bad with one of these.

For my last handgun, I was looking for a stainless, 4" barreled, S&W, .44 Mag.

I weighed the options very carefully and finally chose a 629.

I think I made the right choice.

My last handgun was a CZ-82.

I figured being a CZ it was well made, the 9x18 cartridge while not a real powerhouse, would be "good enough" for carry duty, and it's 12 round magazine capacity was shall we say "adequate."

It didn't hurt that it was cheap, and with my C&R they shipped it right to my door.

Good enough reasons for me.

Last gun purchased was a "50th Year" .357Mag Blackhawk.

Something about the old "Flattop" look really struck my fancy.

Last gun I purchased was an S&W Model 19-3, 4" barrel, that I bought because I needed a K-frame square-butt to fit a set of crimson trace grips I was given for christmas.

Walther PPK/S 1 Size and 4 It wasn't a Glock. The other .380 acp felt cheap. I wanted something with a little weight to it the plastic guns felt like it was made by Mattel.

Since I stumbled across two yesterday, it's easy to remember for once.

629-4 "Classic". After a long dry spell, older S&W .44 Mags are finally turning up albeit in stainless. The "dash-4" was high on my list as it falls between features I like and features I don't. We'll not bring up the cheesy laser graphics.

And the surprise:

A Lady Derringer in a pink box with original ratty cardboard sleeve. I don't like derringers but always wanted an Elizabeth Saunders product due to the way she conducted herself during the dark times. Kinda like a female Ronnie Barrett while Colt, S&W and Bill Ruger were all doing things some here still haven't gotten past. Getting a new one was a challenge and a board member convinced me propping up the used market did help the manufacturer so it came home with me.

It now sits next to the Bushmaster upper I bought when the Brady's were suing them after the "Beltway sniper" incident and the Remington paraphernalia I bought after they temporarily discharged Zumbo and the crud I've accumulated from JPFO, NRA and GOA - my "political purchase" heap, as it were.

PRICE. I made a list and the first one on the list at the right price that comes up comes home......and the rest of the list may take awhile! Lefties? anyone selling?

Impulse buy. I didn't have a 9mm auto and for $230, the S&W 439 looked like it needed a home.

Since then it's become my favorite hand gun.

Taurus 605 on order.

Traded in two locker queens for a new blued 605 for the wife. She learned how to shoot revolvers when she was 12, and just can't abide by a semi. That snubbie cloverleafed for me at 10-12 yards with .38s, and didn't do bad with .357s. I was absolutely amazed! The only thing I didn't like was the skimpy boot grip. That's been replaced with a Pachmayr Compac. Since it did so well, I ordered a stainless version for myself. Already have a Hogue MonoGrip for that when it arrives. I want to see which grip is better. I could try the one gun with both but that would take away the fun for my wife and I!:)

S+W 6906
Prior to that, the last I got was a 3913. It was one of those guns I always wanted and got one in a trade for something I wasn't shooting very much. I actually did not like the 3913 at first, being so used to the 1911 trigger, but I stuck with it and it has become one of my favorites. Since now I'm 'ok' with a 9mm, I wanted to check out the 6906 as a higher capacity option since they seem to be as well thought of as the single stack.

I really like them both. The 3913 is definitely my favorite of the two but I'm keeping both - at least for now.

C.S.D Its an affliction I suffer. It seems to manifest itself mostly when I am around handguns. (Compulsive Shopping Disorder). I bought a Hk USP.40.......because IT NEEDED ME!

My wife actually picked it out for herself, I liked it so much I bought myself one:

CZ - P01

- Wanted DA/SA
- Wanted Decocker
- Wanted steel or alloy, not polymer
- Loved the ergonomics
- Wanted 9mm
- Wanted high accuracy and durability
- They were 350.00 dollars at the time

Wanted a snub nose .357 or .38 for $400 or less and found my SP101 for less than the no lock 442 I was on my way to buy. And because it wasn't a glock :D .

I wanted it.

No real reason beyond that.

Planning on getting another revolver this month, because I want it, I can afford it. Never went through any internal debate about it.
