I wasn't drunk- just sleep deprived. I stand by my statement, Fishslayer. I thought it was about the Hi-Power.

Nicely done. I'd pick up one of those for under $200 in a second.I decided to do some photoshoping and "correct" most of what I (and apparently several others) feel is wrong with the Hi Point. The left image is the original and I basically just moved some stuff around and did the listed changes to not cure, but at least help out the Hi Point ugliness . It would have been a harder change but that Philips grip screw needs to be changed to at least a flat head, or preferably a hex screw as well.
I totally agree. I think the tail is too long and it makes the gun look like one of those supermarket sticker tag guns. LOLthe slide is disproportionately large and the tail is too long (meaning the slide sits very far behind the grip. Looks like some kind of alien ray gun. If you are into that sort of thing, pull the trigger. My XD isn't the most beautiful thing in the world, but it is a design that appeals to me. I think 1911s are the smokin hot cheerleaders of the gun world, but I have yet to get my hands on one. Still waiting.

But your safety is now a slide lock!
dannyr3 8: said:they are cheaply made and dangerous the slide has been known to actually fly off and it the shooter when fired thats ugly...
...i apologize to those ive upset with my previos remark but this is not something i read iwas told by reliable source that i trust and believe but if i hurt your feelings sorry
I am going ot get one in 9mm and throw it, and about 10000 rounds of whammo in a bail out bag
Sorry this is a bit off topic, but how much would 10K rounds of 9mm weigh? It would cost about $2,000 if you were to buy the cheap Tula Ammo.
So here's the question, if you would drop $2k + on ammo, why not spend a bit more on the gun? I'm a Hi Point owner, but this just seems crazy.
Add a bit for primers and you're at ~265 lb.
