I selected "Neither, I'd NEVER want to work with firearms! "
It isn't because I have anything against firearms. I don't even have a count as to how many I own because I lost count after 40 and never recounted them.
It is simply that I recognize that as a fairly senior computer programmer, there is no position for me in the firearms industry. Any smart manufacturer, distributor, publisher, or retailer affiliated with firearms is probably going to hire a company to do their software development for them. There isn't enough work for a full time programmer position. At most there is room for one or two network guys, and that would be at a place as large as S&W. I would gladly work for them as a consultant on a project (website development, software package customization, etc), but then I would still consider myself an employee of the consulting firm (or my own consulting business) rather than of the entity in the firearms industry.
