What would you ask a gun mfgr to build?

I was shooting the breeze with a fellow gun nu,,, eerrr, enthusiast,,,
He was saying that he wishes Ruger would come out with a DA/SA exposed hammer pistol.

I asked him why and he said it was his favorite action,,,
And he just liked Ruger as a company.

Ooo-Kay.

But I got to thinking about it,,,
If I got to choose a gun mfgr and a gun type,,,
What would I like to see them put out on the market.

I want CZ to build a 6" barrel .22 revolver.

You know the quality would be high,,,
And in all probability it would have a great trigger.

I think they would make something reminiscent of a S&W Masterpiece,,,
Without the weight and bulkiness of Rugers SP-101, their new GP-100, or the S&W 617.

Couple that with their fine sense of aesthetic style,,,
You know it would have to be a great looking handgun.

It would not be cheap,,,
But if they actually marketed one,,,
I would be the first in line to fon,,, eerrr,,, handle one.

Whattaya think?

I'd like to see Colt manufacture the Colt Shooting Master (.45 Colt New Service with adjustable sights.) I'd like to see the Colt Python offered in .22 LR and other cartridges. I'd like to see the Winchester Model 70 with the old Winchester trigger.

I'd like to see Beretta build a 96 series gun in 10mm, with a 4.7" barrel, all steel frame, frame mounted safety, and a brigadier slide.

Bonus points if it's a pistol pack with a 40S&W setup.

Or, Sig could chamber the 227 in 10mm and save Berretta the hassle.

A 22mag version of the Ruger SR22 would be really nice. Or even a 22mag 1911. Still waiting Rock Island... still waiting... been waiting 3 years now.

I'd like to see some .32 ACP semi-autos in larger guns, they would be super easy to shoot and the .32 bullets would perform better at the higher velocities obtained with larger barrels.

I wish Beretta would make the Model 86 again, and I wish HK would do another run of HK P7M8s.

I always think it would be cool if someone made the Luger P-08 again but from what I've read, it is a complicated gun and almost impossible to make cheaply...

I have three...

I was really hoping for someone, preferably in Germany, to bring out a P08 Luger to recognize the centennial of the gun's adoption by the German Army. 2008 came and 2008 went: No Luger. Considering what a Luger is decent shape costs these days, I would pay a fair price for a new one.

Second, I want Smith & Wesson to bring back the Model 51 or 651 Kit Gun in .22 Magnum but this time fit it with the ramp front sight, three-inch bull barrel, and square butt, just like the original.

Finally, I would like for Colt to get itself together and begin production of double-action revolvers again. Back at the 2013 NRA Convention in Houston, a Colt rep said the company was considering it but things started going downhill for the company after that.

Yall will laugh at this...but it's what I want. I want a revolver chambered in .223 rem, 22tcm, or 5.7 give it about an 8 Inch barrel with a convenient place to attach a bipod. This is actually my second request though. My first is a marlin lever action rifle in .327 fed or 357 rem max.

Something that ran like a Glock, shot like an SV at the price of a Jennings.

He was saying that he wishes Ruger would come out with a DA/SA exposed hammer pistol.

Have him look into the now-discontinued P series pistols. Can't wait to get my P-89 out of layaway jail.

I wish Ruger would build suppressors. There is no reason they should cost $800 plus.

If Suppressors weren't an NFA item, they wouldn't cost so much. If they were sold like they are in Europe, they're over the counter cash and carry.

The demand for suppressors is relatively low in the US, so with the additional $200 tax, federal registration and months long waiting time, most people don't feel it's worth it.

Me, instead of a Luger, I'd like to see an updated, simpler version of the C96. The Luger would be cool, too, but I've always favored the Broomhandle.

I'd like someone to build a take down stock where you took it apart at the wrist so making your rifle shorter but didn't bugger about with the bedding....

I want Ruger to make a .22 and .327 LCRx revolver and a S&W Governor clone, perhaps one with a steel frame.

I want Kel-Tec to make a polymer frame DA/SA black powder revolver for .50 caliber round ball.

I want somebody to bring back the H&R/NEF single shot rifle line and keep the accessory barrel program. I prefer Henry, Mossberg, or Ruger do this.

I want Pietta and/or Uberti to make a replica of the the .36 caliber, 5 shot New Model Army Police Remington revolver.

I'd like to see a LC9 or PT111 sized pistol chambered for 7.62x25.

I want North American Arms to make the top break Rangers again. Sell them for $500, I don't care, they'd be worth that price.

EDIT: And I'd like to see someone bring back the folding Burgess shotgun, preferably Mossberg or Ithaca.

I want Taurus to follow up on their Curve design and make the Taurus Knuckler, a four barrel pair of brass knuckles chambered for .22 short. After that, they can work on the Taurus Change Up, a polymer framed, convertible .22LR/.25 ACP pistol.

The slogan for this line of handguns can be: Three Strikes... THEY'RE OUT!

EDIT: And I'd like to see someone bring back the Burgess folding shotgun, preferably Mossberg or Ithaca.

I'd like S&W to bring back the 1006, 1026, 1046, 1066, 1076 and the 1086.

Won't happen though which I why I'm waiting for my Sig.

I'd ask S&W to build a K framed 327 Magnum in both a 4" and 6" barrel.

That would be cool.

I already sent S&W a note suggesting they bring back the Model 16 (32 Long and 32 H&R Mag K frames, the Model 16-4 would be my choice) in the their classic line and/or make a 327 Federal Magnum version of the Model 16-4 in stainless (Model 616?).

I've been on the hunt for a Model 16 for a couple years now and they are non-existant in my part of the world. Also, they are few and far between on the gun auction sites. Unfortunately, they are expensive and I do not want to plunk down a wad of cash without being able to fondle the gun first.

I want Ruger to offer the GSR with a five round internal magazine....with a stripper clip guide milled into the removable peep sight...

Since I and many others missed out ...I would like Ruger to re offer the Old Army with the 5.5 barrel WITH the adjustable sights...

and those who wish for a DA bp pistol...clearly do NOT know the error of their thinking

Add to this fantasy fest....Ruger Mini Garand....same size as the Mini 14...but using 223/5.56 8 round enbloc clips ....(mini "ping" )..when empty..lol

I would like S&W to build a 5 shot 45 ACP revolver, with a 4" tapered barrel. Round butt, wood grips and blued. Similar to the Model 69, just better!
