Whats your go to 9mm load?

That is awesome shooting Saleen - I enlarged the view and it looks like OAL was 1.045 and 1.080.

Was your CZ modified from stock (trigger etc.) and do you shoot NRA Bullseye?

When someone can shoot like that at 25 yards I would tend to listen to what they have to say. I can't imagine a plastic gun (excuse me, polymer) could equal an all metal gun for accuracy given flexing, etc.

anyone use 120tc bullets? Need oal

cast 120tc 9mm .356
Using hp-38. 3.8 gr
Looking for oal?
Shot thru sig 938 and sig p250

My 938 likes 1.060 using this bullet. It's a clone of the Lee 120tc but with a larger lube groove and flat base. It drops at 128gr with my alloy. I size to .358. 4.3 of WSF.

Saleen: What load and bullet were you using in your CZ 75 to get such differences? Almost all of my testing were with my Glock 17 or M&P 9pro. Some testing with a 1911 too, but I have mostly given up with it for shooting light lead loads.
Those are nice and clean holes, are they semiwadcutters?

that ain't no CZ!
its a S&W 952:D

pictures speak many words, I like to see them backing up statements - makes its hard to argue against and easier to believe;)

and who doesn't like to see pictures of pretty guns:D especially those S&W semi's

Took a quick glance, fooled me.
Just looked up the 952. Interesting gun. For those of you like myself who don't know about it you should check it out. The barrel lockup is really something else.
Not the average pistol.

Favorite for my STI Escort

115 Berry's RN
CCI or Winchester SPP
5.5gr Long Shot
OAL 1.100

Mid load but has quite the kick. Hold on to your pole:D

Hi, to all my fellow reloaders,
New to your site and here is my first comments.
I also use berry 115 grain copper plate, as stated above start low and work your way up to see what works best for you. All powders, guns, and bullets work differently. Always stay within the min. and max. I guess my best advice is to make only ten rounds of each load, with what ever powder and bullets you are using. When I say of each, let's say low side is 4.0 and high side is 5.0, go from 4.0 and then graduate up by 1/10 at a time. This is going to give you 110 rounds to shoot, make sure you have all mark clearly in different baggies and also keep good track on your targets as well. Best of luck and have fun.
When ever I see a comment about cc reloads I need to bring this up. Christmas two years ago at our family gathering it came up. There are 4 cops and to lawyers within. I was advice by all not to carry reloads in my cc. These family members are from 3 states Wi. Il. And Mo. Lawyers could and will have a field day in court with you. Also if you have a Lee press and there book, Modern Reloading, by Richard Lee you will find the same advice.

My favorite is 125gr LCN over 5.5gr longshot @ 1.08" oal
Great velocity, no smoke, wallops steel and simulates my carry ammo.

And the thread is revived after being dead for 16 months! :what:

124grn Bayou bullet RN with 4.5grn of Unique loaded to 1.12 OAL. Soft shooter and runs in all my 9's with stock springs.

Lately Ive been using 124gr FMJ from Armscor over 3.6 of Clays @ 1.135 OAL. Also 147gr and 160 gr Bayou Bullets over 2.8 gr of Clays. In the past I used 147gr Berrys over 3.4 of N320.

Glad its still alive, just found a couple lbs of 231 and needed load for Berrys 124gr RN for target, 25 yds.

Kind of figured 3.8 to 4.4 being conservative. My lymans doesn't come close enough with their bullet types. Somewhere got a COL 1.135. SSNVet must be shooting hotter than I'm looking, but helpful none the less.

I've been using Bullseye, HP-38, Power Pistol, AA #5 and #2 and a lot of Unique as well as Titegroup.

Most accurate is over on the BE-86 thread. I havent considered it my "go to" because I ran out and dont have any to "go to." Hopefully that will soon be cured. I believe the load was 5.5 grains at 1.120 with 124 grain RN. Most accurate 9mm I've loaded!

Hard lead Conical Nose or FMJ. Will most always give you a .712" opening. especially if you get any yaw or tumbling.

WCC MilSurp cases
Remington 1 1/2 primers ( or W-W SP)
HS6 powder 7.2 grains ( warning this is max. work it up)
Remington 115 FMJ bullet
Set seating die with Remington 115 grain factory round. Never bothered to measure it.

Velocity ~ 1325FPS on my Oehler 33 measured at 15 feet.

Gives me roughly the same "feel" blast, recoil and velocity as my carry ammo, 115grain +P+ 9BPLE.

Well, not really a target load I guess, but my favorite is a nice stout roll crimped 125 gr. jacketed, on top of 7.0 grs. of Longshot, touched off by a CCI-500.

No muss, no fuss, just straight up accurate full tilt shootin for me!

holy crap dude, OAL? gun youre shooting this out of?
is this your training ammo, or once in a while reload?
i thought my load of 5.5-5.6gr LS on 125gr @ 1.08" was spicy, it's a good bit hotter than NATO ammo and a weekend training class with 1k rounds fired I can feel it in my hands..

Glad this thread got resurrected. I love this topic.

My favorites are:

4.0 gr n320---- Plated RN or FN 124 gr bullet---- C.O.L = 1.125"(RN) / 1.050" (FN)

4.0 gr Titegroup---- " " " " " "

3.8 gr n320---- Coated Lead BBI 125 gr CN bullet---- C.O.L. = 1.125"

3.4 gr n320---- Plated RN 147 gr bullet---- C.O.L. = 1.159"

I also worked up a load that mimics recoil for my carry load;
5.0 gr Silhouette----Plated RN 147 gr Berry's bullet----C.O.L. = 1.159"
Use this with caution and at your own risk; as it was obtained from a well respected reloader but is not contained in any load data, though Ramshot does show 5.2 gr for a jacketed Remington bullet, the max for some 147 bullets is 4.6 grains and 4.9 grains. It is probably +p.

I use N320 3.2-3.4g for 125g LSWC - OAL 1.075

use WST 3.5g for125g LSWC - 1.075 OAL

= powder puff loads for paper

I am testing 231 right now same bullet 125g LSWC OAL to feed consistantly 1.075-1.080

any suggestions for lead and 231?
