I was waxing nostalgic on another thread and began thinking of all the guns I've owned and sold. I dearly wish I had never sold a single gun. I should have gone without food, slept in my truck, whatever. I hate that I sold any of them.

Some of them I regret selling more than others. These are the ones that cause the most pain:

Colt National Match, mint. (This one hurts the most)
Ruger Super Blackhawk, barrel shortened to 5 1/2 inches, RR/WO
Sig 220
Sig 226
Sig 230
M-29, pinned, 6.5 inch (three of these)
M-29, pinned, 8 3/8 inch
M-25-2
Clark tuned Ruger Redhawk
Clark tuned M-27
Clark tuned 629, 6 inch
Colt Diamondback 22, 6 inch
Python, reblued by Trapper Guns
M-48
M-19, four inch
Browning BSS 12 guage
Browning B-78, heavy round 22-250, unfired
Browning B-78, octagonal 6mm
Browning High Power, blued, adjustable sights
Browning High Power, Satin nickle, adjustable sights

Anyway, make me feel better. Tell me a sob story that makes me feel better about my stupidity.

The one that comes to mind is a NIB Colt National Match (pre Series 70) that I sold when I was in college. Absolutely mint, I sold it for $200. To this day I cannot believe it. And I also cannot believe that anybody would be so low as to actually buy it from me.

What year was that? I remember selling mint condition Remmington Rands for $50.00. Back then(early '70's) that was the going price. Not today tho.tom.

H&K USP 40 compact. It was the first pistol I had ever bought. It was too bulky for summer carry and I didn't like the trigger pull or trying to buy accesories or parts for it.

I especially regret selling..

Colt SAA NF 357
Colt SAA NF 44 Spcl
Colt SAA 45
Colt Python
SW 1926 44 Spcl
SW K-22
SW K-38
Clark High Standard 22
Clark Gold Cup
Clark NMC Leg 45
Custom 1917 Enfield..AAA Fancy Fiddleback Maple stock

salty.
:(

I only regret selling one - sold two. That was my Mas 36/51. I still think I made the right choice to sell it - ammo is way too expensive for my budget - but I really loved the rifle. It will be an easy one to get again down the road, though.

None so far, as I have replaced them with better guns. Probably the closest thing to seller's remorse would be for the 4" S&W 686-4 I sold back in August. It was a great range gun, but I wanted a carry revolver. The SP101 fits the bill perfectly. And, my father-in-law has a 4" Ruger Police Service Six that he has promised to me, so the 686 has been adequately replaced and then some.

I had a Walther PPK/s in .22

I sure wish I hadn't sold that pistol....oh, well.

My Class A's, yeah.
***. Are you regular Army I was issued 2 sets in basic. Come to think of it so were the NG and AR guys. Are they actually making soldiers buy those things now?.
I could understand Blues but not greens

Oh

Nickled Winchester 94

)(*&^&% .22 RG revolver
.@% ^%*& Raven

Yeah it kinda sucked because I had to buy all my uniforms BEFORE I was getting that fat Army Paycheck;), so I had to sell a few guns. I replaced most of them, but I still regret that S&W. It'll be mine again though.

my first gun ever, a used Browning BL-22, lever action .22. sold it to pay for books for college. wish i could track it down but haven't a clue where to start. i REALLY wish i would have kept it.

guns sold

I bought a Pachmayr Combat Special back in 1973. Just thinking about what they are worth today,if you can find someone that has one and is willing to sell it. makes me cringe. Best shooting gun I have ever had. Wish I could find a Swenson .45.

None so far only ones ive ever sold was a M-29 smith years ago and a Sig229 3 dyas ago .. dont miss either of them

Dan Wesson model 15-2, blued, back when Monson, Mass was the only home of DW. It had two barrels, a six inch heavy shroud with a ventilated rib and an eight inch short underlug and solid rib. The gun was comfortable and fit my hand well and was way more accurate than me. Traded it away for a danged computer. :banghead:
