I have two hi-Powers and a CZ 85 Combat. For playing the games the CZ wins hands down. Much better S/A trigger and slightly heavier which for me aids sighting and certainly reduces felt recoil. Controls are much easier to manage for me. My Hi-Powers have decent triggers but not near as smooth as the CZ line.

Take Care

But I want a Hi-Power. An honest-to-God FN Hi-Power. Not FEG, not an ARCUS, not even a Browning... I want an FN.

Okay, now you're confusing me... Browning doesn't sell a Hi-Power that isn't built by FN in Belgium, as far as I know. ( Somebody enlighten me if this is not so. )

Got an old one here... it's about the same age as I am (43)... on the side of the slide it says "Browning Arms Company, St. Louis Mo, & Montreal P.Q. Made In Belgium"

So....? You just want one without the Browning roll-marks?

This poll makes no sense to me. There is only one real Hi-power.

The orginal 9mm fullsized SA gun that is manufactured by Browning/FN. They no longer make the FN roll marked version. The current models of the Browning roll mark are made in Beligum and then assembled in Portugal.

All others like the SFS and the 40 S&W are mere step children. Owning a Hi-power in anything other than 9mm SA is like owning a 1911 chambered in anything other than .45 ACP.

Yeah you can do it but why would you mess with perfection.
