Ha! I've actually met the owner of that rifle. He brought it to the range last month, and we had some fun tearing up paper with it. He himself admits that it isn't the finest paint job, but everybody seems to think that the AK is a rough, clublike excuse for a firearm anyway, so why are we suddenly getting upset that this one is blue and white? It still has that legendary AK reliability, and it's as accurate as an AK is supposed to be.
The paint job doesn't suit my taste, and it was flaking off in a couple of places. The aftermarket thumbhole stock had been roughly carved and sanded down to better fit the rifle's owner. Still, the thing went "bang" every time, and it threw the lead in the right direction.
The upshot of it all is that we got a female shooter who was not interested in long guns at all to try shooting it, and she had fun.
