I'm another "It depends on the other issues as well".
I mean, I don't care to slightly support gay "marriage", though I'd rather see civil unions for everybody. People say that you can get the benefits without it, but I've seen legal documents ignored.
I'm moderately pro-choice, prefering the efforts trying to make it illegal be put towards reducing the demand. If your birth control screws up, fine first trimester. If you discover "problems", maybe into the second trimester. I'm a bit of a darwinian on this. It's a tough choice.
I am for a balanced budget. Neither Republicans or Democrats really seem to support this.
I support a strong defense. Some Democrats support this.
I support lowered taxes, smaller government. Haven't seen many dems support this.
I support the ending of preferential treatment based on race. Period.
He'd have to be a DINO to get my vote
Oh, and trust is a
major issue. Even if he talks the good talk, if I don't trust him, well, he's not getting my vote. Like Bush, I'd rather he be honest and disagree with him on a few points, than to take a waffler and a poll watcher. A president is supposed to lead, not wave in the wind.
